I think Rigo's going to be pretty screwed from now on.

There's hope. Mares and LSC have major competitive blood in them. They'll want to challenge the most dangerous opposition there is. Oscar may not like it but at some point Mares will force his hand, same way Canelo had to put his foot down in order to get Trout.

Btw, I don't see how you can't put the blame on Arum. It's his job to make sure his fighters develop, despite a few challenges along the way. Rigo is already an amateur legend. That's a start. Now call him the greatest Cuban fighter ever and feed him guys like Vic and Arce...add a few things here and there and suddenly you have a Cuban star. Keep in mind we're not trying to impress real boxing fans here. It's the casuals we're targeting and they are easy.

Let's be honest. It can be done. It's just a matter of Arum putting in the effort. Apparently he won't do so such thing therefore Rigo obviously has to leave if he's smart.

Some fighters can draw without having faced any top contenders (like Canelo, Chavez), while others, even when facing top quality, simply cannot draw. Rigondeaux does not have a following, he doesn't speak English, he's almost 33, his style is generally not fan friendly. It's a lot of effort for not much upside, trying to market Rigondeaux. I'm sure that, if Arum saw a way to make Rigondeaux a cash cow (and thus, profit), he would. But he doesn't see it.

If Rigondeaux were mexican, puerto rican, yeah, he'd probably have no problem drawing. But he's cuban and like with all current cubans, crowds will be hard to come by unless the opposition brings the money.

He's going to appear in the ring p4p list. I think this is going to make it up somehow. If he can keep winning and climb in that list he might get more popular. I'm worried that Bob will keep him inactive tho. He didn't get any punishment in that particular fight. He can be back in 4-5 months against a lesser come forward opponent that will make him look good as ACS mentioned. That will keep his momentum going. What Arum did after the fight is nothing short of disgraceful. The guy is as scumbag !!
