I'm sure this has noting to do with you hating him because he has a win of your boy. Saunders was in great shape for the Monroe fight, and if he can keep that dedication up, there's zero reason for him to move north.

The weight isn't the issue, Billy is a natural Middleweight, he just isn't small like some claim. He would be drained @154.

168 isn't his best weight but if he can't get the big money fights @ 160 and there are opportunities @ 168 he will move up.

If he can get the Lemieux fight that might open a few doors @ 160 and the wait for GGG/Canelo winner wouldn't be so long. There are rumours 160 could be one of the next WBSuperSeries divisions too.

I don't think Lemieux wants the fight and I think Saunders will look at all his options.

Do you think Lemieux would go to the UK for an average purse? He might still get 500k+, but Lemieux probably feels he is worth more IMO,

Seems like he can get Lemmy, but fat chance he will get him in the UK.
That fight is gonna take place in the US or maybe even Canada because no way Golden Boy is going to give Saunders home advantage as his only road to victory is a signature close points decision.
They want to cut off that road, and might even stage the fight in Vegas just to be sure.

Saunders is Uncle Franks biggest star and most proven fighter, the only way they are leaving the UK is for massive coin. Warren will bid maximum for this fight surely? Especially with Mega fights not far away?

Lemieux's manager was claiming Billy was pricing himself out asking for $2mill, so I assume they don't want to pay Billy anywhere near that. Why do you think they will?

According to the WBO rules, Saunders will get 80% if it's an away fight and 75% for a home fight. Frank is a stickler for the rules, he will have to get a good deal to not send it to purse bid.

I can't imagine Lemieux risking going to the UK, he already makes good coin as he's a draw in Canada/US.

Pretty sure Golden Boy would want to invest to get that belt, either as an extension on Canelo if he somehow would win the rematch as a big event to unify another belt or maybe even becoming undispted if he were to fight for the WBC strap as well (unlikely, I know). Or as a backup plan to again make him a "champion" after losing to Golovkin again (very likely), and keep that WBO belt in house no matter what happens, even rematching Lemmy when things go south would be on the table.
Even possibly make a 3rd fight with GGG down the line for "all the marbles"... unifying Middleweight for the first time since ages.

These are all valid and likely routes to take, with how things turned out.
If Saunders keeps the belt, GBP has way less options with their star, and we all know Saunders would ask for crazy money if they needed to fight him.

I suppose we all have our opinions

If Golden boy won the purse bid and Saunders bailed he would lose all his credibility and his belt and he would be the laughing stock of boxing.

Saunders wouldn't bail 100000000%, I cant't see that ever, he would go to Canada or the US and he would go to win.

I think they will have to stump up very decent coin any way, Saunders was only asking GGG for 4mill, I expect purse bid would be in the vicinity of $3mill, which if it was in Canada would leave Saunders with $2.4mill and Lemiuex with $0.6mill

Frank is a crafty old coot, just because he bids $3mill doesn't mean he has to pay it all. He just has to pay Lemieux 25% or 750k and give Bill whatever they negotiate lol

May be wrong but I think Dom Ingle said he thinks he could after seeing him change his attitude to training.

He said something along the lines of if he can stay in the gym there's no reason he couldn't, but if Brook goes to 154 as well it'd be interesting if they want BJS there

    Too small for SMW.

He could probably make 154 is he was just more dedicated.

Guys like Hurd, Trout, Charlo aree probably all easily as big as him in terms of lean muscle mass on fight night

I don't know about Trout tbh, he's not that big but Charlo and Hurd are monster 154lbers they are unfair comparisons.

Hurd is a freak of nature @ the weight he honestly made 6ft1, 76.5" reach Tony Harrison look like a Jr Welterweight.

Hurd would be the biggest bloke @ 160 too

You should see Hurd @ the presser with the other 5 154lbers, he looks like he doesn't belong, must be intimidating for the other guys lol, Hurd can fight I tell you that now. Hugely underrated but he is only beginning, plenty of time to make his name.

Trout weighed 171 against Canelo. Hes pretty big. Not massively tall but extremely well built.
