I think Spence, Crawford, Prime Thurman, Ennis, and Ortiz would beat the WWs in the 90s

So, you honestly think Ray Robinson beats the modern WWs, JWs, and MWs of this era even though they are more advanced?

I don’t think the guys today have found some new boxing technology that makes them superior to past fighters, but I still think they’d do well in the 90s. The top 4 welterweights today all have good speed, power, work rates, chins, and skill. I don’t think it’s far fetched to say that they would be able to hold their own in that era or even get some great wins.

Well same with todays weigh in's before the fight he probably wouldn't even be a welterweight as he could probably make JW even at his biggest.

But I don't see why he couldn't compete. He was a phenomenal talent not many fighters today even with modern training could match him for speed and power and even those that were superior to him, he could simply out skill.

Boxing isn't like some other sports where physical attributes are the primary attribute for success. James Toney for example was notoriously lazy and often fought bigger, stronger men and yet his skills could overcome that. Same with Fury, he's hardly the best example of modern training he really only even started doing modern style strength and conditioning when he made his comeback, yet he beat Wlad who was probably the most modern trained heavyweight at the time, with superior speed and power to Fury.

It's just not as important in boxing as actual boxing skills unlike in say the 100m or cycling where it's simply about sheer physical capacity.

Robinson would wipe his ass with every last single current fighter from 140-160.

I'm not gonna expend too much energy on you, because it's apparent you're a troll.

Did this idiot say some of Whitaker's best years were at 130? Sorry, I must have missed the junior lightweight reign of Whitaker.

Lopez and Forrest in their prime would dismantle all 4 of those fighters.

That's why Manny Pacquiao was so successful right ? because he was such a big Welterweight standing 5'5 which is shorter than Whitaker ? and the fact he started his career at a lower weight than Whitaker did ? you also must of missed when Whitaker moved up to Jr Middleweight and beat Julio Cesar Vasquez who beat and floored Winky Wright like 5 times.

Yeah ODLH is exactly like Keith Thurman, Thurman equalled ODLH's achievements by winning 11 world titles in 6 weightclasses and being lineal champion in 3 weightclasses "face palm".

ODLH lost every big fight ? so are we going to ignore wins over Vargas, Whitaker, Chavez x2, Quartey ?

Ennis hasn't even beaten a top 10 Welterweight yet lol, and Crawford's best win at WW is vs Shawn bloody Porter a guy who has lost "every big fight" a quote you like using.

Yeah Quartey is exactly like Porter your so right Porter has an ATG jab like Quartey silly me "face palm"

    What a load of tripe.

Ray Robinson puts Taylor and Teo, both, in a coma.

    The same night.

Guys like Porter, Prograis, Zepeda, Matias or Jacobs would discover that they are pregant after fighting SRR. To start with JWs are too small for Robinson he would eat them all alive.

You are being ridiculous. There are levels in this sport.

You're underrating Thurman. Oscar struggled against lesser fighters.

You've made NO attempt to make any sense, or prove your points. You think just saying random **** equals knowledge?
"Oscar lost all his big fights....:" how stupid is that? If he lost all his big fights, don't think he'd have as many world titles as he did. Effin troll...

All this thread does is prove you are an idiot....

Owens ran the 100 meter in 10.2, Usain 9.58. .62 faster. Bolt ran on a better track and much lighter shoes. Oh, and Jessie smoked.
