If you ****yze it Szpilka only lost to Jennings who was a better opponent against Wlad than Povetkin was. I think Povetkin beating a wilder is a 90% chance of happening but I also think szpilka could beat wilder. Wilder gets hit too often against lower ranked opposition . He would have a hard time with a fighter like Szpilka.
Szpilka had 30 hours flight time a few days before the Jennings fight because of visa problems. If Jennings had that kind of jet lag he would have been the one going down late in the fight. I like Szpilka. You never heard a word of this out of him. I think Wilder would beat Povetkin and Szpilka, but would love to see if I would be wrong. So far nobody has had an easy fight against Szpilka.
That's just really undisciplined on Szpilkas part though, why didn't he fly in 2 weeks before the fight? It's common knowledge that jet lags debilitates you mentally for a couple days.
he still had Jennings on the canvas... that was a great shot ... he should have finished him cuz he started gassing later and ended up getting stopped himself!!
If there is blame it should be on his manager and team. He took the fight on short notice also because Wach dropped out. You can call Szpilka a lot of things but a chicken ain't one of them. He fights everybody. Cant wait to see how he does against that beast Mansour.
:deal Fight Szpilka then Wilder!!!??? you're scared of Povetkin KTFO victims in Takam and Perez... You're scared of Grandpa Briggs... who's left?? Ruiz Jr might tag you in your glass mandible... scratch him off the list... Glasgov has no power like Duhaupuss so you'll probably pick him... Hope he knocks you out anyway!! :dead
I agree! Though a very high probability exists that Szpilka is caught on the outside and KTFO by a big 1-2 before he gets the chance. Pin has become extremely underrated lately in terms of power. (and there is too much ballyhoo about his chin and defensive holes, even though he's usually pretty good defensively and just gets caught with stupid punches very cleanly sometimes, causing his reactions to stick out in people's memory...and, it should be noted, his recovery is to be commended as he only has the one stoppage loss and that was from exhaustion and Jennings outlasting him more than anything)
Mollo dropped him 4 times, his chin is made of pure glass. But so is Wilders chin, so you never know.
He was never dropped by Nichols, Wilder slipped and it was called as such. Wilder also knocked them both out in 1 round a piece. :yep
You're wasting your time. These guys will **** down your back and tell you its raining. They won't let that go no matter what, even though you could probably go back in the careers of most of the great fighters in history and find a humiliating moment against a less than stellar opponent. Sonny Liston with Marty Marshall and Henry Cooper with Muhammad Ali. The Nichols thing is so stupid I burst out laughing everytime I see it. He clearly never touched him, although I will admit if I was a champion boxer I'd probably be embarrassed I was ever in the ring with that guy, wouldn't even have to have lost to him.
