the same thing to happen to Lesnar that has happend to kimbo :yep

execpt Lesnar will be facing couture instead of a member of the TUF alumni.

seriously though. does anybody give Lesnar any kind of chance against couture?

Sure, Lesnar is a hell of a wrestler but I still pick Randy.

Lesnar losing to Couture wouldn't be the same, Couture is world class.

If Lesnar loses to a low midcard middleweight, then it would be the same.

Right now , as far as i'm concerned...Couture vs Lesnar is a 50/50
Simply because it is a known fact that Randy often struggles against top notch greco wrestling opponents

see his fight vs Randleman (even though he ended up winning) , or vs Barnett , Ricco (prime ricco of course because today the guy can't even be ranked)...Lesnar is huge , very fast (especially for his size) & also has the top notch wrestling to handle a guy like Couture.

To me , Lesnar is pretty one dimensional...But since he excels at that "one dimension" (wrestling)...I think Couture is in for a real war and it's not gonna be easy at all.

If Couture had Werdum's BJJ technic , then i'd give him the edge for sure. But he doesn't.

One thing about Randy tho is IF he takes Lesnars back like Lesnar did HH, Randy will sink in a choke. Lesnar won't.

Except Lesnar comes from a solid solid wrestling background. Slice was a streetfighter who relied on fear and size to beat guys, he had no "real" technical background to fall back on.

Lesnar has a legitimate chance against Couture because he's a bigger, stronger, younger wrestler. With that said, Couture is experienced and has trick after trick up his sleeve. He should win.

Yes, I'm backing Lesnar to win, though supporting Couture (who isn't?).

Couture, while obviously more 'well-rounded' than Lesnar, is essentially a wrestler. Lesnar is a much bigger, stronger, younger and arguably better wrestler. If Randy is going to win I think he'd have to do so in a similar fashion to how he fought Randleman- accept he's going to be taken down, try and minimize damage from the bottom position and try to wear out Lesnar. With the good endurance and pacing BL showed against HH, and the fact Randy is now 45 years old, it just seems unlikely.
