he will be broke! I just finished watching the Ustream video, and he is just ignorant about his money. I know he's "philthy rich", but he spends money as fast as he gets it!!! A fool and his money...

BTW, this has nothing to do with his skills as a boxer(I think he is the best boxer in the world right now)...his ring intelligence doesn't extend to real life business savvy. 50 cent has a lot more money than Floyd, and you don't see him throwing money away like that.

I have a feeling that 10 years from now we (fans and haters alike) are gonna be shaking our heads reading an article about his financial problems.

**I know I mispelled "Floyd" in the title, just a typo

I can see him going down that route. Dude pays his barber a grand to shave off just a stubble. I guess it doesn't matter if you judge him as a boxer. Whether he's broke or rich it doesn't effect his boxing legacy. He won't be the first and definitely won't be the last boxer to blow all his money away. Oh well. Look at the bright side - at least you know you did something with your money rather than leave it around for someone who didn't earn it.

Great first post and apparently you have not seen 50's spending on cribs. AnyWay I don't care about other peoples money. It amazes me how many other people do care about others money. Usually signifies that they don't have enough of their own to manage IMO

Im just calling it how I see it. Hmmm...an observation that I post on a public boxing forum about a boxer's spending habits and that means that I don't have enough of my own money to manage... cant argue with that logic. :huh

I did see 50 cent and his display of his money spending habits, and 50 does not do it like Floyd. Did you know that 50 got a bargain for his home? That's neither here nor there. The fact that you watch MTV cribs shows that you do indeed care about other people's money and what they do with it...ya dumb ****.

How do you like my 2nd post?

Well short and sweet, ill tell you about your post. Me watching MTV cribs, for entertainment, is not the same as me going around voicing my opinion on what another man or woman should be doing with their money. I hope that you can understand the difference.

What do i think about your 2nd post? Well the fact that i said "It amazes me how many other people do care about others money. Usually signifies that they don't have enough of their own to manage IMO" And you tooking as if I said YOU instead of OTHER PEOPLE and then resort to name calling behind a computer screen, tells me about your maturity level. I still wont talk about you though. Informative second post. You dont have to respond to this because i wont respond to your third if its in line with your 2nd. Im toogrown up for that.:thumbsup

You know reading my response I was a little too hyper-sensitive about your reply. No tough guy act here man, just an over reaction because i'm use to the hazing that new members of a forum usually get(especially here).

We see this **** all the time with boxers (among other athletes and celebrities). They make a lot of money but are just bad with it.

Joe Louis, Evander Holyfield, Thomas Hearns, Mike Tyson, Iran Barkley, etc...

The man is so pathetic that he needs to buy respect from others.

Differnce between Floyd and 50 is that a rapper can perform and earn at the top level far longer than a boxer can. The songs he has already recorded will continue to earn him money for decades. Floyd gets paid once for a fight and that's that. 50 wont risk brutal beatings as his skills decline either. Richer men than Floyd have lost it all. Floyd himself owed the IRS millions and needed De La Hoya to bail him out.

Great boxer though he is, i dont think anyone could seriously claim he is particularly intelligent or any sort of shrewd businessman. If he keeps spending money in the manner he boasts about, he'll be broke not too long after he retires. You obviously care about Floyd's money enough to jump to his defense. I just dislike vulgar, ignorant people and look forward to Floyd scrabbling about for cash like any aveage person with a normal job.

I love Floyd and truly believe he is a good person. This whole persona he has created over the last few years has finally went too far and i was off put by it. I've defended the guy over and over, but i wouldn't defend this.

he did apologize and i truly believe its a case where he is frustrated at all the attention pacquiao has garnered and really pissed about manny winning the fighter of the decade (which, let's be honest floyd deserves).

nevertheless, he has a big mouth and he made a horrible mistake. i hope he apologizes to manny.

There's a brilliant interview with Mike Tyson talking about humility, and how if you become too arrogant and obnoxious, life has a way of humbling you. He referred to himself as a perfect example of that.

And like this thread suggests, the very same thing may happen too Floyd.
