I think the Super 6 could be making a big mistake. What do you think?

I think the Super 6 could be making a big mistake for what started as an excellent competition.
After the loss the J Taylor, they brought in A Green, who had no real credentials and had lost already to Edison Miranda. I know you could say A Ward and A Dirrell hadnt done much, but they were undefeated and Olympic medallists.
Then M Kessler had to depart, so it was talked about making the next 2 fights the semi finals, which would draw a conclussion to the competition and removing late starter A Green. Leaving a final to be decided.
I know you could say then its not 6 fighters, hence the name Super 6, but eventually for would have been eliminated anyway.

Now though, there is talk of finding another fighter for the competition, for A Green to face, with the names G Johnson and S Bika being mentioned.

I believe this would be a big mistake whoever they choose.

First if its G Johnson can he still get down to SMW safely?
If its G Johnson then with due respect it will hardly be super with the amount of losses Johnson has and to who hes lost to, and we dont know when Johnson might start to show his age. Johnson normally tends to lose when he steps up in class.

Second if its Bika, I think this would also be a mistake as he has done only slightly more than A Green and already lost to a past his prime Calzaghe, and to Bute, not to mention S Soliman (though admit that was some time ago now)

Also the new entrant would have to do some catching up on points.

I think they should exit Green from the super 6 and let the 4 fighters remaining decide a winner.

    What do you think?

Johnson and Bika are far better then Green. They go there to fight not to pretend that they are. Bika is an excellent fighter awkward powerful experienced , and he would ko Green. There's no doubt in my mind that IF Johnson is in good shape he will win to (we will see at weight in) unfortunately he will only UD Green.

First, Johnson has already taken officially Kessler's place.
Second, Showtime wanted Ward-Dirrell and Froch-Abraham to be the semi-finals, but obviously, boxers who had signed a contract with them didn't. They signed for at least three bouts, plus a semi-final and a final. Green signed for at least 2 fights. To jump over stage three was not a good deal for any of the boxers. They didn't had choice but to choose someone to replace Kessler. Showtime now wish very hard that there won't be a KO in the Green-Johnson fight. Imagine Allan Green making the semis... OMG! The worst thing that could happen to the tournament.

Johnson is one of Bute's sparring partners, in Florida, so he's probably in good shape.

Johnson hasnt been a SMW for years.
Johnson although a trier isnt top world class and loses almost everytime he steps up.
The Super 6 is a long running tournament and you never know when Johnson will age drastically.
John son lost his last fight.
Johnsons record in world title fights is out of 11 fights 4-6-1 or if you include his WBU title fight 4-7-1.

People have to stop pretending that Johnsons an elite and praising young fighters for scraping past him

I didn't make myself clear enough. Johnson is not a threat. That's exactly why he is there.

even if it all goes to **** now i would not say it was a mistake, we got some good fights between the top 8 SMW. With the exception of Froch (who i think chases the biggest fights he can) we may have seen these guys fighting bums instead.

well, genius, who should they go with then?

As it was already pointed out, the contract language prevented it from being reduced to four fighters.

Bika was actually the first choice and turned down the fight.

What the **** do you want them to do?

    they should've brought in Bika.

Bika vs Green is actually a good fight, and the winner of that fight could actually deserve to be in the finals.

Who cares if Green lost to Miranda? People are so obsessed with losses.

Go with what they first suggested dumbass.
I thought id made this clear with the quote you highlighted which was, make the 4 remaining fighters next fight the semi finals and then the final, with Green as the next fighter with no points or an opponent to be exited, as what was first quoted
