I think the Super 6 could be making a big mistake. What do you think?

I agree with what you say about people becoming obsessed with loses, but they do often show levels, not always, but often. Id guess in the case of losing to Miranda though, that it has shown a level, because Miranda is now really considered a gate keeper

to be honest, this is shrewd. johnson is better than green. but more importantly, he has no power, plus a solid chin.

meaning the fight is likely to go to points, meaning that ward, froch, aa and dirrel are likely to go through to the semis.

setting up at least 3 more big fights.

Yeah but SUPER 6, and then they put in a 41 year old who hasnt made SMW for years and has 14 losses and 2 draws, and loses most of the time he steps up. It was bad enough when they dug up Green and put him in

i see your point, he clearly isnt a top 6 smw. but as a sacrificial lamb for the good of the tourney's progression, i cant think of anyone better who has that combo of chin, power and name.

Johnson isnt top 6 at any weight, if were honest.
The competition wasnt meant to have sacrificial lambs. Then they brought in Green as exactly that, and now 14 losses 2 draws Johnson :yikes.
I do understand what your trying to say, but think the original idea, when Kessler had to pull out was best, making the 4 guys with the most points go into the semi finals, bringing the competition to a conclussion and finding a winner.
As it was, they brought in A Green, who is very unaccomplished, and wasnt in from the start, so never had the chance to win any more points (not that I think he would).
Now their bringing in Johnson. Does he get Kesslers points? (If so, for not fighting, that would be unfair on Green).
Also unless either Johnson or Green score a KO, they run the risk of being out of the comp as the winner would only have the same points as the losers of the fights.

I know that they couldnt bring in Bute, but instead of Green or Johnson they could have brought in any of these SMWs who are more accomplished at the weight

    D Sartison
    R Steiglitz
    K Balzsay
    E Gutknecht
    B Magee

This thing could never, and would never be perfect.... But is it great??? YES!!! Look man this is the best of the division all signed to fight... I like Bute but **** him he's on the outside looking in... The winner of this rules 168 and probably 175... The experience these guys have got and the matchups we've been given is crazy when you think it's all at 168...

Im not guna moan at who they bring in, Bika or Johnson i dont mind. But i do agree that it would be just as fair to let Green go and move on to a semi final stage with the 4 that remain. The whole tournement is imploding with injurys and what not its surely too late to be adding other names.

From that list only Stieglitz woth a mention for being the WBO champ and bringing a belt . Don't know much about Sartison.

My choises since Bute has a mandatory would be in this order :
    1 Pavlik
    2 Andrade
    3 Bika
    4 Johnson
    5 Stieglitz

Ward himself said the winner would have to face Bute to be really on top of the division. I like the tournament but it has never been the 6 best fighters at 168 and it hasn't became closer with Green and Johnson. 6 of the best fighting eachother is already an accomplishment though.

Let's just hope that none of the two won't make the semi-finals.

I think I want Ward or Abraham to win the s6 because Froch will go after Pascal or retire , Dirrell is a coward ,Green is **** and Johnson is old. I would love to see Johnson ko'ing Green and advance further eliminating Dirrell so i can hear what would he say when Bute offers him a fight. Plus old Johnson advancing with only 1 fight would show how "super" this tournament must be:lol:

Bika turned it down. I believe it was due to a recent bereavement.

All the fighters I mentioned were worth mentioning.
Except for Steiglitz the guys you mention dont have world titles either.
But the fighters I mentioned (except for Magee) have all held or do hold a world title. Magee is the European champ and is a WBA mandatory

It turned out Kessler had been suffering an eye problem since before the start of the Super 6 where he has been having double vision since before it began, only for it to be worse and require treatment now

Eye injury - something about seeing double. He said he had trouble before entering the super6
" The eye problem has bothered me since the beginning of the Super Six in my preparation for the bout against Andre Ward. It also bothered me in the fights against Ward and Froch, and in my training for the fight against Green it has become unbearable "
