I think the ward-kovalev fight will fall out

I second this, but man after the feather fisted showing vs a cab driver... I have doubts too.

 

So why the hell did he sign to fight him to start with?

 

Sometimes people signed up for a wedding and then get cold feet. I am not saying that is going to happen here, but just saying it does happen.

Anyway, both Ward and Kovalev are past their primes but at least Kovalev has that one-punch KO power. Ward throws feather-dusters in comparison.

Also...

You need to look long and hard at Kovalev to realize just how good his tactics and adaptive-reactive abilities are. I believe Ward had taken only a superficial look at Kovalev when he started calling him out. I think Ward has only recently realized how good Kovalev really is. In fact, after the Brand fight, when Kellerman asked Ward whether he would fight Kovalev in November, Ward said "It certainly looks like we're gonna do it!"
