Both men not afraid to barrel forward to land their punches. Hatton the bodypuncher, Valero the headhunter. Both seems to have just the same amount of speed and heights are in close proximity so no one needs to reach out to land a punch because surely, theirs heads will be wide open. The intangibles, will Hatton prove too strong or will he be shot in a year or so? Does Valero have legit power and is he really the goods? Thoughts?
Valero would murder Hatton. Why even consider it? The pressure that Valero would bring to Hatton would finish him. I give him 5 rounds max.
Valero murdering Hatton, no way. i just dont buy into Valero hype to be honest. This guy looks raw to me still. I think a good boxer beats him anyday.
I fully buy into the Valero hype. He would indeed murder Hatton. Hatton has lost a great deal of his technique from several years ago, which WAS quite impressive. Hatton is more stationary than he used to be and comes in wide open, as opposed to using the subtle head movement that he used to. Valero would land quick, hard shots down the middle and come away with something similar to what Pacquiao came away with. But what's worse, Hatton has been softened up by Pacquiao. Hatton was a hell of a fighter 3 or 4 years ago, but people need to let him go. No way this fight should ever happen.
Hatton, had problems against the best tehnical fighters, but a power pucher and brawler like Valero is just suited for Hatton. Valero never fought e really good fighter,on the other hand Hatton for some years now was in the ring with the best, so he has the experience advantage, and if he trains well and makes the weight easy, then i don't see Valero beating him. Valero still has to prove himself, he could be a great fighter in the near future, but he has to beat a big name, and beating Hatton could be his chance.
everyone on here is discussing the outcome of the bout. but i doubt the fight will happen SOMEDAY cos valero still, in my opinion, has a while to go before he can fight the big names, and that includes hatton. what has he achieved that he could hang on his wall, nothing! until then, until he wins a belt or two, then he should fight hatton but hatton may be way past it, if not retired by then. and regarding hatton's retirement, boxing will retire him, not him retiring boxing like PBf once said.
Now this is what I'd love to see! Too bad it'll never happen Valero's a southpaw and can be pretty slick (as we saw against Demarco), so I can see him giving Hatton a few problems. However, he will be going up in weight, so we don't know how he'll do at 140. I'll go for Valero late stoppage. I don't think Hatton's face will hold up
