I think Tommy Fury is in big trouble against Jake Paul.

Reckon Tyson will be there purely to assess Tommy. If he thinks he ain't good enough there will be an injury

I highly doubt that he will be pulled out on the suspicion that he may lose.

At worst, it's too much of a 50-50, with too much money on the line, for him to pull out. If he wins, his star rises considerably.

I have always felt Paul stands a chance of beating Fury. The only thing is that his stamina seems **** poor.

Ahh if Tyson thinks it will be an embarrassment he could cover Tommy's purse like its penny's. He has that much money he gave his entire Wilder I purse to the homeless (cough cough)

I disagree. If he gets knocked out he becomes a complete laughing stock in boxing and social media - which is his livelihood. If he or his team is not totally confident of winning then I can realistically see him pulling out.

If he was to lose a tight points decision to Paul then he could probably maintain a degree of respectability by arguing that he won the fight and there would probably be grounds for a rematch in the UK.

I see what you're saying but I see it differently. Social media is his livelihood, yes, not boxing. The nature of his social media career isn't dependant on his ability as a boxer or the perception that he's a hardman. His social media career will likely rise win or lose - much more if he wins obviously from US fans (although probably not overly significantly). He won't lose followers based on a loss, or social media engagement than is baseline at the present moment.

I also don't think that his family will care too much if he loses. They will probably suffer a few blushes but it won't matter that much.

By the way, from a fan and entertainment perspective, I want him to lose precisely because of what you are saying. I hope you are right and I am wrong in the aftermath of the bout, just for the laugh.

I think the issue is he's just inexperienced and needs more time. He'll beat Jake Paul, no questions asked. Too big, too strong for him and, with his reputation on the line and a clear rivalry between the two, he'll get the job done.

He is not bigger than Jake Paul. That’s the point I was making, he has no size advantage here. Jake Paul weighed in at 190 for the Woodley fight. Tommy weighed in at 179 for his last fight.

I think they are very similar in height and frame. One advantage that Tommy should have is reach because he has really freakish long arms but does he know how to use that to his advantage?

Tommy is about an inch taller, has longer arms but both are pumped up probably a couple of weight divisions. I would be surprised if Fury could keep up the pace at even 8 good rounds but he won't need to against Paul.

Do you reckon he will go for it and take the fight to Paul or do you think he will be cautious? I don't know. It would probably be in his best interests to be careful because I don't think he's very good.

Depends whether he genuinely changes his approach like the footage suggests. If he tries to fight like his brother he’ll look to outwork Paul but he just isn’t that good. He won’t hurt Paul IMO. Not convinced he has much power.

I can see him losing the plot with zero gameplan.

I can see him losing the plot too. I think both of them will be nervous and that will sap them too. I think the best punch between the two of them is probably Paul's straight right. If he hits Fury with it he could be on bother - I've no clue how well he can take a punch.

I would love to see him lose because the aftermath would be amusing. John Fury interview would be priceless.

Tommy has never fought anyone but is jake paul better than anyone he's fought?

No idea but we will find out soon.

Hope Tommy is half decent and beats jake but I wouldn't be surprised to find out he's useless either.

I genuinely think Paul is going to cautiously out box Tommy Fury

Fury is awful and not improving from what i see

Paul is dedicated to this right now and improves every fight and camp

Yes, easily. And by a considerable degree.

Tommy Fury would be stupid not to take the fight and money that's thing, also what it may lead too, this fight shouldn't be interesting but it sort of is as Fury is pretty much a novice/very basic boxer against someone who has taken it half-serious for the last three years
