I think Toney showed that an short Ol' fat guy could give him a hell of a fight like he did in their first fight. But Peter got better and Toney got worse in the second fight which Peter clearly won.

i dont see how toney got worse... i think he was the same, if not in better shape actually, peter just showed up. You could tell in the first fight, besides how fat peter was, all the interviews beforehand he was talking like toney shouldnt even share the same ring with him, he took him seriously the second time and it showed.

i dont see how toney took anything out of peter, their last fight peter had a relatively easy time with toney.... if toney would have taken something it would have been the first fight, in which peter would have shown that in the second meeting, which he didnt.

Peter took a way worse beating from Wladimir. The second Toney fight was almost as easy as a hard workout for the Nigerian. He beat the **** out of James. In fact, you could pretty much say Peter finished Toney as a fighter. I'm still surprised Toney didn't get knocked out. Incredible chin and heart.

Peter would have taken more damage from his regular sparring than 1 nights work with former mW.

    Bull****.

There shouldnt have even been a second fight.

I scored it for Toney 8-4 easy. When u have big definfing fights scored agsinst you it takes a lot out of you.

Same as Zab Judah vs Tszyu. You feel a decision has gone against you and you just well who cares anymore.

Me and my 5-a-side University soccer team lost a game which we shldnt have last weekend. so we ****ed the rest of the games on purpose and just didnt care that much. Everyone in the division knew we were a top-3 side in the division, but everyone also knew we got screwed over so we didnt continiure properly.

Its the same in pro sports.

At the end of the day, if you get **** on. U think, well whats the point.

Toney beat down Peter in the first fight, there shldnt have been a 2nd.

Scam Cheater is a C+-level fighter at best. I'd pick decent Cruiserweights to beat him.

  10. Put down the bottle and come back to reality, Peter took everything out of Toney in that 2nd fight put him on his ass and beat the living **** out of him, Toney's speech what you can understand of it got worse after those 2 fight's with Peter..
And Toney juiced up and still couldn't beat Tomato can Danny Betchlander or whatever his name was after 2 fight's with Peter..

No , but Vlad and McCline certainly did- hopefully enougn for a Maskaev upset. I was pretty suprised to see Peter on the canvas 3 times against McCline and truly hurt.

Both Maskev and Peter are big punchers. If Maskev can show up in better shape and keep his guard up he may win. Maskev has a habit of using his chin as his main line of defense and that will not keep him in this fight if he plays that way.

It is an interesting match up though. maskev has skills and Peter has power and he looked very good in his 2nd fight with Toney. Peter looked like soup with McCline and the judges gave him that fight.

Actually I think the fights that Peter had with TOney did take their toll on him. His face was messed up and he did take alot of punishment even though TOney isnt the biggest heavyweight puncher. If someone has pics of Peters face after the first fight please post so people can see.

If anybody took anything out of Peter, it was Wladimir Klitschko...not James Toney
