I think Tyson of 2000 would hammer the entire division.

Tyson was overrated period, the division he fought in was as weak as the one we have now if not weaker. Prime for prime Lewis Holyfield and Bowe all own tyson.

 

I seriously doubt Wlad could have lasted a round with a prime Tyson considering the fact that the so called king of the heavyweights looked absolutly pathetic agains two men a prime Tyson would have murdered. Tony Thompson and the Sultan

 

No it wasn't, certainly not based on the best fighters' potential anyway: the 80's contenders had more ability than more or less any of the current crop. Certainly an in form Thomas, Berbick, Tubbs, Spinks and perhaps one or two others would make moves in the current division: on their best night only Klitchko has a chance. Jeez, Tucker wasn't that special at all, but even he'd hold his own against much of todays crop: which doesn't say a great deal abot the stae of the division at present.


Prime for prime Holy has a good chance, he would handles him anytime post-Douglas. Lewis-Tyson is a very close call: enough to call even, but maybe I'd favour Lewis ever so slightly. As for Bowe, well the Bowe of the early 90's was a very good fighter for a short spell: but he isn't beating Tyson. I just can't see it.
