I think AJ may very well start doubting himself when he sees the confidence that Usyk will bring into the press conference and then the ring.

AJ goes on about “learning”, being “humble” personally I think he’s a confidence fighter who likes to be in control and may start doubting himself here.

Great, balanced response and reads well

I'm not necessarily sure I agree on the chin front - at the very least, whilst AJ's questionable up to a point, Usyk's is completely unproven with this kind of power... there's obviously a difference between what you can take off guys at around your weight (anyone at CW), what you can take off a plodding heavy (Delboy) and then stepping up to a bodybuilder with hefty combinations.

Joshua will either give away his size (as you rightly point out he's done in the past) or he'll find it difficult to connect with something heavy... He may have to mix it up a bit for a mixture of staying in the match on the cards and taking a chance of getting Usyk out of there - it'll be interesting to see how both of them approach it!

I gotta be honest, I don't like Joshua as an individual but I think this is much more likely to go his way.

Usyk is a bit of an unknown quantity at HW which is what makes it interesting. Can he overcome the physical disadvantages? Not sold on it personally but I definitely want to find out if we can’t have Fury vs Joshua.

In some ways, AJ is the best matchup for Usyk of the big 3 that includes Fury and Wilder. Fury is definitely the toughest and outboxing Wilder will be easy but extremely dangerous at all times.

AJ is able to box ie Ruiz Ii but Usyk is a superior boxer. The 4 inch reach could be a factor but I expect Usyk to outbox and avoid the power shots.

If AJ slugs he will get countered and his less than stellar chin will be exposed. I am certain Usyk has the power to hurt AJ.

Usyk's biggest concern should be the judges. He may outbox AJ but if it's close I don't see him getting a decision.

Usyk is getting overrated. He hasn't done anything at HW & his performances were lackluster against one C & one B level fighter. He also doesn't have punching power. AJ is bigger, stronger, longer & more powerful. I don't see how dangerous Usyk can be other than being slippery for a few rounds.

Joshuas best chance to win would be to try and outbox Usyk ala Ruiz II. Otherwise Joshua seems to try and ko opponents during the first half of fights and if unsuccessful tends to gas and become vulnerable, a bad situation vs Usyk.

Usyk the man that battered Wlad in sparring is coming to ktfo Joshua.

He will probably make it look easy.

Styles make fights, and Joshua is a perfect candidate for a Usyk whooping.

Usyk is more calculating than AJ.

Uysk is far more skilled than Ruiz and his feet are quicker.

I agree - AJ has improved in that regard, but he's not a naturally calculating fighter in the way that Usyk or Fury are (Wilder I would argue is far less so, if at all).

I'm curious as to why folks continue to bring up the Ruiz debacle as a viable barometer for the potential Uysk match-up. It's apples and oranges, especially when dissecting it's crucial components. Plenty of people close and not so close to the camp stated AJ suffered a concussion a couple of weeks prior.

If any of you have ever had the pleasure of experiencing a concussion you would know your bodys equilibrium isn't normalized for several weeks even months post-trauma. Anyone with even a smidge of intuition and perceptiveness could see his legs were gone but his mind and psyche were completely in the fight yet frustrated that his body wouldn't respond accordingly because he was handicapped by the concussion. Fair play to Andy but why would any logical person use this as a gauge for how his chin may hold up against the likes of Uysk?
