I think he should from every point of view - safety, legacy, family, you name it. I don't believe he'll do it though and the guy below expressed the reason why nicely:

Lol! :D He’s not losing **** other than two replaceable title belts. And that’s IF he loses. Which I doubt.

Usyk is 38 years old. His prime has passed. He was never defeated once in his prime and that cruiserweight tournament win where he won the Ali trophy is arguably the greatest tournament victory in boxing history.

Larry Holmes was absolutely flatlined by Tyson at 38 years old and nobody said he “Lost everything” as far as his place in history. Joe Louis didn’t lose everything historically after Marciano almost murdered him sending him through the ropes. How old was Louis in that fight again???

Why would Usyk be any different?? And for the record… Usyk ain’t losing that bad :D Lol Ever. And I doubt he’ll even lose on points. Usyk will call it a day when he feels he’s slowed down too much. He’s a smart character. And I think he’s definitely slowed from his prime but he’s still got enough for 1-2 more big fights.

Personally I would like to see him retire. He still looks good but, at 37, the body is only going to go one way - downhill. He's.already beat the most relevant names around at the minute and become undisputed. What more is there to do? For me, the risk - reward ratio isn't worth it.
And, for what it's worth, if Usyk lost now it wouldn't affect my view of him as a fighter. But let's be honest - SEEING a fighter lose gives ammunition to their detractors - or at least opens seeds of doubt in hypothetical discussions which didn't exist before. Look at Roy Jones for example. If he'd have retired after the Ruiz fight you wouldn't get the tired 'glass jawed Roy ' argument brought up in every H2H discussion.
Best for Usyk to bow out now, IMO. He deserves it. But he probably won't. They rarely ever go at the right time

I like Usyk alot but some of his fans are intolerable these same people ranking him as the GOAT are calling the fighters he's beaten as crap or frauds does that make logical sense to you ?

And it seems like they're so scared of him losing like it's effecting them personally it's ridiculous. If Usyk is still fighting at a high level let's see him against other top contenders and see other big fights that's what's best for boxing.

If Usyk does feel like he's slowing down though considerably and has had enough of boxing then he's entitled to retire aswell but I don't know why his fans are so keen for him to retire.

Much risk and reward is only $$$. But he already win lottery and got plenty of $$$/

It will be shame if he will lose to someone like Dubois now.

I think definetly he should think about retire but... He probably feel great. He beat them all. Saudis payment is just wonderfull. I guess we will see him at last 2 more time in the ring.

And if he lost not much change... He already One of the greatest. When You lose it dont cancel Your wins from past.

What is it with boxing fans? Why do you want Usyk to retire? He showed in his last fight he still has plenty left in the tank. He hasn't come close to losing yet and even if he does, having a loss on your record doesn't mean the end of your career.

He should definitely fight the winner of Dubois/Parker , I mean why wouldn't he? He's beat Dubois easily before and could do it again and I think he handles Parker fairly easily in my opinion.

Personally I would love to see him fight Itauma. It's the only fight left for Usyk that excites me.

Judging from "I can more" after the Fury fight, Usyk feels he has more to offer.

Other than padding out his HW resume, going back to cruiser to get Undisputed there again, I don't see a huge amount he can really do that will increase his legacy.

But I do think that Usyk would not fight on past his sell by date - he probably knows the best when that is

He's going to do what he wants, and we should all respect it. He follows his own divine light, and that is how he got where he is.

He said just the other day that he is tired of training, but loves boxing and wishes he could box every day. So the end is near, but not here yet. He is 100% going to fight the winner of Dubois-Parker.

I think he should continue in some reduced capacity. Reduce down to the WBA belt and take some easy fights...invade bridger and fights Kevin Lerena...find some alternate league that doesn't count like the IBA or something (Although that is controlled by Russians, so maybe not that one specifically).

    But yeah, he's not done.

Aside from Usyk having won everything there is win and achieved everything there is to achieve in boxing

    Olympic gold
    World Amateur gold
    European gold

    The Ali Trophy

Fighter of the Year which he should win again this year too

    CW

    WBC
    WBA
    IBF
    WBO

    Undisputed CW champ

    HW

    WBC
    WBA
    IBF
    WBO

    Undisputed HW champion

    Undefeated

Won all his medals at major tournaments in the amateurs on the road

Won 7 of his 8 world titles at CW and HW in his opponent's backyards, the 8th on the road

He's never had home advantage in a world title fight or fight at the world level sans if you consider his fight in Poland vs Dubois as a home fight

And in complete contrast to across the pond where there virtually always have home refs (and on the 1% blue moon occasions if even that high they don't it will be a neutral ref) and it's practically the norm for them to have 3 home judges and I mean home refs and judges for world title fights vs foreigners, he's had a whopping 2 home judges combined in all his world title fights and fights at the world level and 0 home refs. This is like the complete antithesis of across the pond. It's like the mirror image or negative

And he's achieved all this in just 23 fights, whilst being a pure legacy fighter who has sought out the best in both divisions he's campaigned in, in their backyards, whilst being the B-Side with the deck stacked against him, via the application of pure skill and the use whilst being one of the least dirty fighters ever, with zero deck-stacking, zero trying to gain advantages at the negotiating table be they fair or unfair, zero ducking, zero ducking or dodging certain styles or punchers, zero cherrypicking, zero trying to age anyone out, against prime opponents (the oldest ever being 36), whilst being one of the nicest, most likable, most humble, classy, and respectful to everyone be they his opponents, the media, fans even when given ample reason not to, whilst giving away massive/obscene physical advantages up at HW and never having been badly hurt, put on wobble legs, let alone dropped or stopped (low blow doesn't count) despite having run a gauntlet of murderous punchers and legit bangers, many way bigger and heavier than him, and a whole bunch of the sport's biggest puncher, both literally and in the P4P sense

This is completely unprecedented, let alone in just 23 fights

Do you have any idea how few, if any you can say all or even most of that about? And I mean including the top 10 ATGs.

The haters and detractors say he only has 23 fight, but 12 of then were world title fights and if he beat 20 bums like the vast majority of the other greats did at the start of their careers he would be 43-0 with a much higher KO% because he's 9-0-0 (9 KOs) down at that level

And even worse, not only does he have to slay all these giants at HW despite having everything stacked against him he has to do so twice (and it would've been three times vs AJ had he not lost to Dubois and talk of Usyk vs Belly III has already started)

And then after doing so with the deck stacked heavily against him when he was already past his prime and four months shy of turning 35 when he won his first HW title, all we hear are pathetic excuses to try and discredit him

Him being criticized for fighting the same group of fighters again and again when in reality what's actually happening is they're giving these giants as many rolls of the dice as they need to achieve the desired result until one of them eventually beats him which no other fighter is expected to do

Let alone from 35 y/o onwards in a land full of giants twice their size on a deck stacked heavily against them when facing murderous punching giants with KO 90-95% against actual legit HWs and giants or giants 40-55lbs heavier than him whose power will obviously be magnified a great deal against fighters they hold obscene weight advantages over

And aside from it literally being the perfect time for him to bow out, and if he decides to retire in just 8 months he will be the 5th oldest HW champion ever, the oldest ever unified one, and the four older ones above him were all 240-250lb + giants like Vitali, Wlad, Foreman, and Maskaev being the smallest (ie. all huge or big natural HWs)

And if he were to lose at 38 y/o + which history proves is the case resoundingly for all but a tiny few HW champions throughout boxing history and there is only one HW champion in history over the age of 39, there's a million and counting strong committee of insecure vultures swarming who are praying for his demise who can't wait to swoop on him and tear his legacy to pieces with their beaks and talons because they feel deeply threatened by him and his success for whatever reason or whatever `various reasons

And are all in their feelings because people dare to suggest that, god forbid, he's a generational great which he undoubtedly is, is the best fighter of his generation which he is, is an ATG which he is, and that, god forbid, he could beat the HW greats, some of the HW greats, or hold his own and become a champ in any era

And who don't believe that a fighters who don't hail from the right parts of the world are inferior, inferior whilst also simultaneously being immune to the ageing process and being held to a standard in that regard or when it comes to incurring a loss or losses that they hold no other fighters to

So of course we want to see him retire at the top when he's already 38 y/o and been past his prime for years and has nothing left to achieve.

Not to mention he's literally one of the nicest and most likeable fighters to ever grace this sport and one of the nicest sportsman in the history of sports, period

The problem isn't overzealous Usyk fans it's the kind of 'fans' I'm alluding to

    Thanks

Don't get me started on the dinosaur worshiping boxing paleontologists

Exactly, instead of creating a SHW division they created a CW one, so almost all the HW greats from before the super sized HW era are CWs by today's standards and they were beating men their own size, smaller, much smaller, a bit bigger, or much or way bigger a handful of times and almost all the giants of their eras were unathletic, slug slow and low skilled Frankenstein's monsters or much more so than the ones of today.

Usyk is fighting these athletic giants all the time art HW not just occasionally or once in a blue moon who hold huge or obscene physical advantages over him on a deck stacked against him when he was already in his mid 30s and past his prime. He's playing Russian roulette with two bullets in the chamber

    Why hasn't Usyk been KO'd

    Knocked down

Suffered embarrassing losses or KO losses

Like all the other HW greats have?

Why hasn't he been badly hurt or knocked down by 22-30lb lighter opponents in his prime like top 3 ATG HW greats have?
