How about stopping Vitlay in 6 rounds at the end of a long and distinguished career?

I hope you're not one of those that thinks Holyfields resume is better than Lewis's by counting his losses?

Everything you've put on there is so easy to turn against Holy it's not funny.

    Holy's resume consists of:

A very fat Douglas famous for having one good night
A 42 year old Foreman. (yes, be beat Moorer, but Moorer was winning easy until he held his chin out with 'hit me' written on it)
    A 42 yr old Holmes.

(The combined age of Holys first 3 title defences? 119.)

Losing a trilogy to "Famous only for beating Holy" Bowe. (would have lost the second too if not for FanMan)

Losing to Moorer. (who was so bad he then went and lost to a 42 yr old.....)

Beating a Tyson who'd fought something like 3 rounds in 5 years. (But still apparently 'prime' to Holy fans)

Losing and drawing due to horrific judging to Lewis.

    Tieing a series with Ruiz.

Getting KO'd by an ex middleweight.

Going nearly TEN YEARS without a KO win. (Nov 97 v Moorer to Aug 06 v Jeremy Bates........)

NEVER beating a NON AMERICAN fighter in heavy. (unless you count Ruiz, which is dubious).

Where do you want me to stop? Does Holy's career end at a certain point and we forget about the rest, so if he'd beaten Valuev that wouldn't have counted either, or would the losses now count.....

That was easy to do, and I like Holyfield. See how easy it is to say all fighters are ****?

If Vitali is the same Vitali who fought his last fight, he will get rid of Arreola in 4 rounds.

thesandman, that was an excellent post. I am in full agreement. For some reason, Holyfield is hyped beyond all reason as a "Great" HW. Probably because he's American.

Of course you can do that to most boxers but most boxers aren't as hyped as Lewis. Lewis is a great boxer but these days he is made out to be an invincible boxing machine who beats everybody H2H without breaking a sweat. In truth Lewis has not only been knocked out twice by average boxers but has been in serious trouble in many fights in his career.

If you rank them on resume Holyfield should be higher than Lewis.

I am not a Lewis fan by any means, but I understand he is a fantastic boxer.
There are quite some things I hold against him, because in my opinion he didn't wanna face great opposition when they were in their primes and hold too much, especially against Tyson. It pissed me off in the Tyson fight, words cannot describe how mad I was.
But he beat Klitschko decisively. It annoys me that Klitschko and his fans say Lewis retired because of him. It was the age, man.
Are we saying Trevor Berbick retired Ali, McBride retired Tyson, ...? It's age and the particular circumstances in the context.
And one major difference being: Tyson and Ali lost, Lewis didn't. He went out with a win. Funny how some of his critics complain about his bad chin and all, he took Klitschko's best shots ... of course Vitali is an all time great puncher.

    (my opinion)

OK, back to he original subject of the thread.

So you are placing your trust in Arreola's win in facial expressions in two fights that Vitali won by brutal, one - sided beatdown? Isn't the end result of a fight a little more telling that some facial expression? I have not yet anything from Arreola suggesting that he is a more dangerous fighter than Corrie Sanders. While Sanders wasn't great, he was dangerous and I don't think Arreola could have exploited Wlad's lack of preparation the way Sanders did.

Why don't you point out something really impressive in Arreola or some real wekaness in Vitali that some former opponent took advantage of? Maybe because there is nothing there? Vitali has faced all kinds of styles and win or lose, nobody ever looked good against him.

As much as I want to see the K bro's dethroned, Arreola isn't the man to do it, at least not at this time. Nacho Cheese Arreola needs to have several build up fights first, as well as work on his physique before fighting either K bro.

If Vitali wins then people will say he just beat up a fat Mexican. If Vitali loses he was beaten up by a fat Mexican.

A lose lose situation for Vitali?
