So how can martinez be up there then ? the middleweight division is one of the weakest divisions out there.

Yes he is good but lets not get carried away not like Paul Williams is an ATG.
Like sergio said williams is a blown up welterweight light middle at best.

I agree with your top three, but would complain if anyone wanted to put Martinez or even more so if they wanted to put Ward there.

These are the same kind of people who in the past few years have claimed Jermaine Taylor, Kelly Pavlik, Chad Dawson and Antonio Margarito as in the top five P4P also on the basis of one or two decent wins.

But it's not just like he fought two random middleweights. It's the equivalent of Wlad beating the **** out of Vitali and knocking Haye out in two rounds in a much weaker heavyweight division.

You've got to be kidding me. Manny and Floyd are so far ahead of the rest of the field right now that frankly anybody you put at #3 looks silly.

PBF has fought what, 2-3 times in 3 1/2 years? Pac has fought 8 times in that period.

If you have Mayweather above Pac you're a joke.

Frankly, whoever you put at three is going to look a bit stupid. You would expect them to be real top-elite and have great resumés. But as it is, one & two are so far ahead that 3 is really not going to be far away from the likes of your 5 or 6.

Martinez has established himself near the top thanks to that strong win over moving up in weight over Pavlik, the close-affair with Williams first time round and obviously the subsequent two-round destruction in the rematch. I think he deserves to be there or there abouts.

Ward is more of a hypothetical on my part, his dismantling of the then Super Six favourite in his first fight at world level and his subsequent domination of another top 10 opponent is the sort of dominant victories that only the likes of Mayweather, Pac, Wlad and himself can really sort of muster up in my opinion and I think he will establish himself as a P4P superstar in the future.

Not from me. A clear and undisputed top three in the correct order.

That's what i'm saying - the top 3 is almost universally regarded as Pac, Floyd and Martinez. The order and reasons for them are up for dispute.

  11. 1. Pacquiao
    2. Martinez
    3. Mayweather

Like someone posted before, why would anyone rank Floyd top three when he does not care to fight the best?
    1. Pac
    2. Martinez
    3. ....
