He's tried to become more of a boxer the last couple of years, he should just go back to being a wrecking machine
He could've taken Ward out at any time if he really wanted too just needed to take a few more risks. He will ko Ward in the rematch, now that he's been burnt by the judges. If Ward doesn't chicken out.

He then only had a 3 week camp with JDJ for Chilemba and there are rumors he had personal problems that seriously effected his preparation for Ward.

Kovalev is a difficult and moody guy who is hard to train, perhaps one could say he is wasting his prime through poor preparation and dealing with personal issues. Hopefully this Ward debacle is a wake up call for him and he starts training properly again and gets his personal life in order because time waits for none of us.

You are right it has been confirmed by Kovalev himself that he was going through personal issues prior to Saturday night.

Frightening to think how much better will be once all is in order and he regains 100% focus. There is no doubt the fire will be reignited after suffering such injustice.
