First off, Big ups to Carl Froch and Lucian Bute. Carl for Being a true warrior and Lucian for Taking the trip! Carl Said the game plan wasn't to Brawl but once he seen Bute Hurt he went for it! Isn't That what Kelly Pavlik does? I wouldnt take the rematch with Froch after getting whooped so Bute will Try and Take on Someone like a Kelly Pavlik from now on or retire IMO. I overrated Bute before last night I think it would be a good fight for him after Sigmon. I would rather Kelly fight Chavez jr or Abraham though. After that Pavlik may be ready for bigger fights like Froch or Martinez.
I dont think we will see Bute in the ring for another year or so. Pavlik should concentrate on beating that Sigmon dude and pushing for a potential Froch fight!
Is Pavlik rusted or rested or both? Is Froch improving because of his schedule or worn out? We have a common opponent to go on. Kelly was able to go jab for jab with Taylor while Froch admitted he had to wait for Taylor to slow down after a few rounds because he couldn't deal with the speed. A different corner than Nelson and it could have been a different outcome for Jermain. Ozell told him he was losing and he had to go for the KO. Stupid, stupid man.
More likely to see Pavlik v Anthony Dirrell or even AA. Will not happen until he beats somebody of consequence, and as long as kessler is fighting.
I can't see how Pavlik can beat Froch at 168, but who knows, it would be a fun fight. Neither of these guys has much defense.
