He is a lock, though I belive Wlad is ten times the fighter of Braddock or Willard imo.

Middle of the pack, not the weakness of champions imo. Could give any one a good fight, assuming the punchers like Louis or Dempsey does not blast him out in a few rounds.

But even in a high stander HOF, I think Wlad gets in on his quest to unify the titles alone thing. Forget the ABC crap, we all know who the real WBA champ is.

I see no reason to keep Wladimir Klitschko out of the Boxing Hall of Fame.

It's not his fault the heavyweight division is weak. And he has done what's necessary to be at the top of it for several years. If that's enough to go in the HoF then in he goes. Also, he should be given credit for coming back from his earlier failures, improving, and getting to the top. He might not be exciting to watch or one of the all-time greats, but he's achieved something difficult with the talent he has, and that's worth praise.

All he has to do is be consistant and keep winning...he has no call as to the quality of his challengers.

    Haven't you heard?

Carnera's entire career was magically fixed, unlike the matches of his opponents. And this is 100% true because some guy wrote it in a book and mentioned mobster affiliates, which normally NEVER happens in boxing.

It saddens me in many ways that Carnera does not get credit for his acomplishments.

He might not have been one of the greatest heavyweight champions but he has solid tangible achievments. He earned his title shot and knocked out the reigning champion.

He's certainly in and I agree he should be in a HoF with more reasonable criteria (membership is a joke at this point). I'd rate him as a more formidable/impressive reign champ with more success against contenders than Johansen, Willard and Bradock. If everyone with losses to lesser fighters was kept out, there'd be ALOT fewer members.

I didn't realize Carnera wasn't in. I understand the politics of why, but I don't agree with them - he beat some very good fighters in straight fights. If you're going to start excluding based on participation in dodgy matches, again, ALOT fewer members.
