I told you cotto would never win a decision against canelo I have no idea why you didn't listen. The judges were paid off. With that said I scored it 7-5 canelo.

I think it was a 7-5 type fight. Cotto looked sharper, faster than ever and had a great jab, even triple jabbing, but not all were landing, that's where Canelo's defense made the difference. Or else Canelo's face would of been busted up as well. Many swing rounds, but Canelo clearly put down his best performance. Punches landed overall was only like a 20 punch difference, with Canelo having landed more, as well as landing the cleaner shots, which I think was the deal breaker for the judges. Reminds me of Hopkins vs Wright. There were several instances Canelo hurt Cotto, but didn't follow up. If they did rematch, which Cotto deserves, Canelo knocks him out or wins on a stoppage.

On first watch, it looked like Canelo deserved the nod. He looked to be imposing his will most of the fight. His defense looked great too. Cotto had his moments...just not enough of them. And Canelo was landing some hard(er), clean(er) shots on him. The cards were a little wide. I plan to rewatch and score it.

Cotto has looked like never before ever since he went with Roach.

What the ****? lol I had it 116-112 at best with Alvarez winning, if I'm being generous to Cotto.

Alvarez was landing way more shots that genuinely had me concerned for Cotto crumpling ala Margarito.

    And Cotto looked damn good.

Right man won, but it was closer than the scores suggest. Looked like man vs boy in there, I never realised how big canelo is in comparison to cotto.

I remember watching the Geale Cotto fight and thought cotto didn't look out of place. Therefore, canelo should face ggg at 160, however, I don't blame him trying to bring the beast down to try and get an advantage.

I also very much disagree with the judges scorecards. I think Alvarez deserved a draw at most.

I had the fight 10-2 after another watch... The fight itself was very close do to Cotto trying to score a lot of little points, but overall Canelo landed the much better punches in 10 of those rounds.

    Close fight.
