Had Khan winning just like I had Martinez beating Murray. Two very close fights where the losers Diaz and Murray really hurt the winners and had them rocked, but for me their good work was all in the space of 4-5 rounds and thus they lost on decision.
Yes Kahn took the bigger beating overall, but scoring in boxing doesn't work that way. Round by round.
Not 2 no way. You don't get a 10-8 round just for hurting a guy and doing well. You need to thrash him about.
Yeah again though, that's not how boxing matches are scored at all! The average casual fan watching would think Khan got beaten badly going by how easily he was buzzed, the boxing fan knows he clearly boxed his way to a decision by a margin of 1-3 points depending on how close rounds were scored. You should probably look at some pictures of Diaz in the later rounds where he was bruised and bleeding, it wasn't only Khan taking a beating. Also although Khan gets rattled very easily he rarely goes down so unless Diaz finished the job it made no difference, unfortunately Diaz rushed in and didn't pick his shots. If he was a more patient, clinical finisher it would have been a KO victory, as it stands it's a legit points loss.
Absolutely think he got robbed as I also think Murray got robbed in Argentina. They threw the more effective harder shots, was the aggressor and landed more power punches.
Diaz won, Khan didn't land much of note, if he so much as threw a jab and missed the crowd cheered as if he had just knocked Diaz out, it created the illusion Khan was doing better than he was. Diaz was the aggressor throughout, landed the better shots and scored a knockdown, had Khan hurt several times, Diaz nicked it but UK judges ensured a Khan win.
Khan won 8 rounds, Diaz won 4 and got a knockdown, sorry but this one is quite simple to score unless you take away points for your opinion.
how many rounds did diaz win, no more than 4, Hell I'll give you 5, so you get 115-113, then you can add the 2 10-8 rounds, he still doesnt win it ends in a draw. Diaz admits he lost, he simply didnt do enough, if you scored the fight for Diaz, you need to learn how to score Why would he?, so he held few times - he should get a point deducted?, then what the **** about all those other fighters. Alexander should have been disqualified vs Maidana, Hopkins should have been disqualified vs Calzaghe and over dozen other fights. This hate and stupidity is getting out of hand. 115-112 Khan, if you give 11 10-8 which wasnt because Diaz hurt Khan but didnt really do much in that round after that 10-15 seconds, its still 114-112
Sounding like Jean Pascal in that HBO Faceoff with BHop there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7llp_L-riVM&t=2m0s
Seems a lot of people here like crying robbery without actually knowing how to score a fight, ****ing morons!
I didn't see the fight, but I'll definitely watch a replay now. Seems to me like Khan deserved to win on the scorecards, but Diaz won the respect of the boxing public.
