And still the fight is on, and nobody will care about who wanted the catchweight. Everyone knows who wanted the catchweight. Everyone knows why too. And they still love Floyd.

If your hero is caught lying and decieving the public, of course you're gunna be like "nobody cares" "it's not the serious", because you just want it to go away.

I'm not a big Floyd fan or a big Canelo fan. I'm just a fan of the sport of boxing in general. And by the way, everyone doesn't know who wanted the catchweight, because Ellerbe called Canelo a liar and is stating that Canelo's team wanted the catchweight!! The die hard *****s who support Mayweather are going to believe Ellerbe no matter what. They believe Canelo asked for the catchweight, simply because that is what Ellerbe is saying. It's that or they admit that Ellerbe is a liar, but that would make their hero Mayweather look bad, so they won't go there. They will just go on believing Ellerbe (or lying to themselves) that it was Canelo who wanted the catchweight.

The die hard *****s will still love Mayweather even if he is lying. But the neutral observer who isn't sure who to root for might not. And certainly for the Canelo people, this is only going to get them more fired up and will give Canelo more incentive to prepare for the fight.

You are truly hung up on this situation, and it ain't that serious. I'm not a fan of any fighter. I do think Floyd is the best fighter on the planet. You seem to be the only one who cares about this. The fight is made. All of the clues point to your theory, yet fans understand why Floyd wanted the catchweight. They will not stop rooting for him because YOU and a few others think that Ellerbe is lying.

 

Why would Canelos people take the fight knowing Floyd is trying to drain him? Money? Canelos can always make money. They truly think that he can beat Floyd. It's the perfect gamble, or is it!

This seems pretty cut and dry. Floyd's team obviously demanded the catchweight, yet Ellerbe are claiming Canelo's team wanted it, and called Canelo a liar for telling the truth.

Catchweights are lame, especailly these days when (like Lalonde said) weight divisions are only 7 lbs apart. I never said Floyd is a jerk, but the guy is insulting the fans collective intelligence with this whole catchweight extravaganza, then flat out lies to the fans saying Canelo wanted it.
