It is the promoters fault, or do you think floyd decides all fights for Golden boy and Top rank. There has never been any fighters of the two stables to ever face each other and as long as Arum runs Top rank there will never be. That is why Pac and Marquez keep fighting each other there is no one else to fight. Look up golden boy Fighters around 147. Those are the guys that Pac,JMM, and Bradley will NEVER fight.
Mathyssee, Garcia, Alexander,Khan,Alvarez, the list goes on. Pac ruined his future when he resigned with top rank and now he will not have another meaningful fight in his career. just rematches with bradley and JMM, or crap fights like his next one.

Are you saying that the contract with floyd will hurt showtime and GBP? Talk about a newbie. Dude read a sports page some time. Showtime is growing with Mayweather and GBP. HBO moved the Marquez fight to accommodate Mayweather and showtime. Showtime is not trying to make money off Mayweather. They will be very happy if they break even. The whole thing is to push HBO and Top rank back down the Ladder and it is working. What a dumb***!

 

They're locked in a 6 fight contract with the break even point at 1.1-1.2m buys. Forbes echoed rumors of them losing 12m just on 1 fight, the Guerrero ppv. Their entire annual budget is 28m. Do you need me to do the math?

 

Both, they like in house fights so they don't have to split the purse with another promoter. When they do copromote, it is with a small time promoter and the big boys get a bigger piece of the pie. The other obvious reason is the risk of building up their competitions fighter while diminishing the rank of their own fighter.
Mayweather vs Pac would not be the exception, that is the point. It is all bull, to keep the illision that a cross promotion fight might happen. Like Bradley vs Mayweather or JMM vs Matthaysse. Just to give the fans hope of a fight that has no chance of ever being made.
