Its hard not to root for Glenn (and I'm a brit) so I think this is the op's problem. Understandable bias.
johnson landed some good shots, but froch controlled the distance and scored with some combinations. there was a point where it looked like johnson was crowding froch well and taking over but froch rallied whilst johnson appeared to tire. froch won 8/4 or 7/5. close, but clear
Carl Froch won this fight, it was a close but still clear victory... Similar to the Kessler-Froch fight where Kessler won in the same fashion.
Gotta say i watched it very tired and very stoned, scored it rough and gave it to Johnson. On reflection clearly i was wrong and i know i was but Froch once again was all too easy to hit, i think if Johnsons body shots had done the trick and slowed Froch right down it could of been different. Im still unsure how Froch and his fighting style is taking him this far, hes slow and easy to hit and doesnt seem to get much better.
might want to remind you pressure isnt rateable. Especially ineffective aggression... Aggression does help, but effective punching is counted.
Amusingly I had Froch 5 rounds up at the end and when I score fights I score subjectively for the guy I don't want to win (in this case Johnson). At the very least Froch won by 3 rounds...at least.
nah mu****a. johnson landed some good hard shots but froch landed like 50 plus crucial combos on him.
It's another one where ESB declares how CLEARLY Froch won by get cleanly drilled to the face and body all night. I haven't seen the Showtime coverage, and I have a feeling cheerleader commentary may have been at work again. cause I recall several time Jim Watt and co. were screaming "Froch is in trouble!!!".....not one time for Johnson. Guys saying how Froch controlled distance...yeah, by running until Glenn had him cornered and he'd shoe shine his way out of the corner or off the ropes.:yep
errmmmmm, yeah, Johnson clocked him with a few right hands.... and 1/2 the time Froch walked thru it. If you're judging on the premise of Glen hitting with his right and thats all.... then yeah, he wins. Froch did a good job dropping combos to maintain the distance. The judging reflects that. Lets see here...... The judges made it a Majority Decision for Froch. MOST of the ESB posters say Froch won comfortably. SOME of the ESB posters say Johnson barely won a decision. Now taking those values, use some ****ing common sense and draw a conclusion.... If you need me to spell it out..... Froch won.
