Anyway, Stephen Hawking made a good, short programme called "Curiousity" where he makes his claim on why he thinks:

A) God doesn't exist

B) Why it's not necessary for a Creator of any kind to exist

It basically comes down to how, according to the laws of physics, time itself didn't exist before the Big Bang, so therefore there is no question as to "what happened before the Big Bang?"

So you may ask "Well, what caused it then? how can something come from nothing?" This is all explained in the programme, according to the laws of physics, technically, something CAN come from nothing.
