Hatton is a good fighter. He's beaten some good/great fighters (not all in their prime), but he's still a tough fight.

We have to stop trying to diminish or build up fighters because we love or hate their opponents.

I don't like PBF, but he is a great fighter. Not the best ever, but a GREAT fighter...Hatton is a good fighter, who is obviously very tough, and Floyd took him out.

Calzaghe is a very good fighter. However, Calzaghe will get from Hopkins what Hatton got from PBF...a schooling.

Hopkins is a shoulder rolling, defensive, safety-first specialist fighting an attacking, somewhat unbalanced, sometimes wide-punching, undefeated champion.

The only difference is...Hopkins is past his prime and Floyd is in it.

The dynamics are pretty similar. Calzaghe is a European who beat mostly unknown, overrated, or bums of the month, and when he steps up, he will be shut up.

Hatton was a very good fighter and yesterday he confirmed it. It was the case of a good fighter being beaten by a better fighter.

The mistake in your analogy of Wlad-Haye and Mayweather-Hatton is that Wlad is like 50 pounds more than Haye. Hatton was only 5 pounds above his best weight in the weigh in. And he was heavier than Floyd in the night of the fight. The other problem with your analogy is because Wlad hasn't beat Corrales, Castillo, G. Hernandez, De la Hoya, Judah, etc.
