Yeah i love that picture, totally true what you say about the irony of Rahman wearing Kings crown.
I did'nt doubt Lewis would win the rematch, my only concern was with Lennox' age(36). I wondered if he still had it. Although i was very confident of the outcome it was'nt until the KO that my a*&e stopped nipping! lol. But the KO was of the best sporting moments i've seen. There was about 15 of us in a house watching it, a great memory. Also the noise of the KO punch. Priceless!

After seeing Rahman throw Lewis around like a rag doll at the ESPN studios brawl (remember that?), I thought Rahman would thrash him. I figured he'd gotten inside of Lewis' head. Rahman came in to the fight overconfident and got flattened by using the same **** poor defense that got Lennox starched in the first fight.

I believe King had Rahman lined up to fight David Izon or Brian Nielsen in China. Also, Shelly Kinkel worked hard to get Tyson a shot at Rahman as well.

Just saw this right now. Hydraulix asked earlier...Do you think Tyson of 2002 would've beaten Rahman? Without giving it any thought I would say Rahman had a snowflake's chance in hell of even beating 2002 Tyson, but on second thought Rahman did handle Tua twice. Still, Tua is no Tyson.

Being the huge Lewis fan I was I followed everything in the press pre fight for all Lewis fights, I was very confident he would win the rematch.

People often overlook some facts about the first fight. Lewis was filming with Wlad for Oceans 11 when he should have been training and because of this Steward was in camp with another fighter (I forget who). With Lewis going over to SA for only two weeks training for a fight at 5000ft I was nervous, two weeks isn't enough time to prepare for a normal fight let alone for a fight at 5000ft!! The weigh in didn't help, heaviest weight ever. I didn't expect him to lose the way he did but wasn't totally surprised that he did.

For the rematch I was nervous purely because of the way Rahman dispatched him but reading articles, watching TV I became confident building up to the fight that he'd do it. He was more serious than the McCall rematch, wanted to prove a point. When he weighed in at his lightest since Holyfield II I knew he'd win, well as sure as I could be, but to take him out the way he did, damn.........

i picked rahman, to me rahman seemed to get the better of the prefight buildup, he knocked lewis flat out with a massive right hand, first time around, and really seemed to have got to lewis with his comments, then there was the scuffle they had on tv, where rahman just over powered lennox and shoved him over the table.
it was one of the only times ive seen one fighter win the pre fight stuff hands down, then lose the real fight in a massive and decisive way.

i remember havin an arguement with someone in my football team about this. he said rahman is a beast too tough for lewis, lewis has 0% chance. how wrong he was i knew lewis would be have far too much skill.

I thought Lewis would come out and try to work a decision. Did not see that right hand of doom coming from nowhere.
