I thought Margarito would BEAT Manny.... I thought he was too big, would walk through the punches and pound Manny against the ropes. I thought he would throw a LOT more punches. I underestimated pac's footwork more than anything. The angles he created gave Margo fits. He also obviously had the power to hurt Margo which is pretty amazing. HOWEVER! Although I would love nothing more to see Floyd Mayweather get KOed I think he beats Pacquaio via UD. Styles make fights and I think this is a bad matchup for Manny. I see him getting countered a lot after he lunges in with punches. The only way I can see Manny winning is if Floyd, like he does on occasion, goes into ultra defensive mode and Manny wins purely from outworking Floyd. Otherwise I think you will see Manny frustrated from not landing cleanly and getting hit with counters all night.
I too thought Margarito would walk through Pacquiao's shots, and push him to the edge. I guess I underestimated (again!) Pac's power and offense. And yep, Mayweather will not allow Pac to enjoy the same success. After a few cagey rounds from both men, I think Mayweather will solve the puzzle and begin taming Pac with straight rights down the middle, counter lefts as he comes in, and the occasional sharp jab here and there. I still stand by a Mayweather decision.
