I thought Marquez was bloated @ 145 vs Floyd

JMM weighs 145 for his fights at LW, logically, how is he gonna be bloated when he weighs in at 145 for Pac?

People are getting confused here between weigh in weight, and fight night weight.

JMM thought he was gonna be outweighed by Floyd...as a result, he didnt loose too much fat so that he weighs near 150 on fight night. In this instance, he will weigh the same as Pac regardless, he just needs to loose the fat so he weighs the same as he does now for his fights at LW, BUT instead of loosing 10lbs of water and putting it back on, he dont bother dehydrating himself.

 

Explain logically why would JMM at 144 be any fatter at 135 if he comes in to the ring at 145/146 regardless?

C'mon, someone please logically explain this.

What JMM weighs in at is irrelevant, he can come in at 145 regardless and be still the exact same fighter as he was at 135, except this time he didnt have to loose 10lbs of water.

I'm 180 lbs and if youre 182 or 184, I'm still kickin your ass. If it was a problem, he wouldn't sign the contract. If JMM wins, the weight isn't an issue. If he loses, then it appears to be an excuse.

Good question. The answer is that after JMM, Pac will likely once again fight someone bigger than him. Possibly Floyd Mayweather or maybe even Martinez. Pac should be working on getting bigger and bigger, not getting smaller. With that in mind fighting JMM at some catchweight between 135 and 140 would be counterproductive.

So yea, it sucks for JMM that he has to move up all the way to 144 to get this fight, but it's not a major disadvantage cause unlike Mayweather (who couldn't even make the contracted 144lb weight limit), Pacquiao is a tiny WW.


Also, if JMM fights Pac at JrWW, then there's no title on the line, and he cannot win his 4th divisional title.

Pac also fought Cotto, Clottey and Margarito, fights Mayweather would never take, despite being the Welterweight King and P4P champ. Despite getting to him after Mayweather, he destroyed Hatton at his own game.

Come on man, you're the only ***** still digging this stupid **** up. The time didn't make a damn bit of difference with the Shane/Floyd to Shane/Pac fight, it would've gone exactly the same way, Shane didn't want to exchange, and the Mora fight has no impact on anything.
