boxing has HBO SHOWTIME VS NETWORK ESPN TELEFUTURA TV AZTEKA TELEMUNDO GALAVISION and by the looks of it, those shows aint going no where for a while :good so mma has ppv only now...and an occasional spikeTV show twice a year
elite xc is 2nd rate lol (my friend was fighting for it) ..that's like saying no more Boxing After Dark on HBO.. It means nothing.
bull****...BAD has had a lot of great shows including 3 triple headers that would **** on anything the ufc has ever produced :good
BAD has had good shows but UFC has put on as good as BAD if not better. All I am saying is comparing Elite XC to HBO to dumb, Elite XC is second rate in mma.
All I have to say is that the Bernard Vs Pavlik fight alone last saturday had more action than the UFC 89 that was on the same night.
No surprise. After Kimbo's jaw got exposed, I expected EliteXC to fall on rocky times. He was their name.
kimbo to try his hand at boxing perhaps. UFC are closing there doors to him. kimbo vs butterbean anyone.
Which one had more PPV buys? Because that's all that matters to the people that control the sport of boxing. Boxing long ago ceased to be a sport about putting out the best fight. Case in point, all the fans that b*tch on here about fighters ducking opponents which makes up 3 out of every 4 threads on this forum (honestly, get a room). Boxing long ago went into "it's just a way to make a lot of money" mode, so boxing putting up a better fight and crowing about that is pretty ridiculous considering boxing's business model is the antithesis of that and is instead geared toward maximizing the rate of return by charging $50 for a PPV for what is half the time a crap fight. As far as all the networks that show boxing, when was the last time there was a big fight in boxing not on PPV? You want me to get hyped about the boxing on ESPN or Versus, fine, put a decent fight or a title defense on regular TV. UFC does that occasionally, why doesn't boxing?
