He walked into a girly "jab" thrown by a 205 pounder who was leaning back standing on one leg. Ray Mercer must be kicking himself.

Yeah I hate to break it to you guys but UFC pay per views last year outsold all of the boxing pay per views combined, in a year that featured superbouts like De La Hoya/Mayweather.

It's likely that UFC's numbers will far outstrip boxing this year, with Couture/Lesnar maybe getting as many as a million buys all by itself.

I love boxing, but this thread feels like a bunch of people whistling past the graveyard.

I knew this would happen after watching there first CBS broadcast.

WWF feel with low quality overhyped fighters.

not really considering that millions of people know kimbo and gina, but can't pick out perro angulo or gamboa from a load of beaners :deal

you might not be able to compare the channels, but the fighters alone as far as popularity goes, goes to kimbo and gina....

What happened?? too many of them bums are being knocked out by jabs and other shots that SHOULDNT do the kinds of damage that they are doing....Over exposure, every day you can flip though the channels and find some clubkid or skinny kid who couldnt make his highschool wrestling team going at it.

i fell asleep during ufc 89 and was bored shitless, the hopkins pavlik fight had me wide awake, the ufc is putting on terrible shows these days and is also in decline with the loss and exposure of major stars ie, liddell

still can't compare to all the free boxing we get to watch....

we get about 50 shows alone from telefutura...
    about 20+ from showtime
    about 10 from tv azteka
    about 30+ from hbo
another 10 from the vs network
about 50 from espn (counting both wednesday and friday night fights)
and ppv has about 12-18 a year
