The first punches he threw were a counter-left hook to the liver and a right hand to the body as Aguilera pivoted away. The punch that won him the fight was a beautiful counter right hand while ducking Nagy's jab. Peter's jab wasn't fast, and never will be, but it looked authoritative and it physically moved Aguilery, who for all his faults, is still a 6'3 230lbs big dude. I know that Aguilery isn't the best fighter around, but there are 3 things Peter could do in this fight: Show some skill; Being in shape, showing dedication and motivation; Proving that Nagy doesn't belong in the same ring with him by blasting him out early. Peter did all three of those. Honestly, i don't understand why so many people are negative about his performance. What did you expect, that he was gonna look like Floyd Mayweather all of a sudden? If he fights the Tubby Taco puncher then my money is on the Nigerian Nightmare.
Good day to you aswell. Taco Tubby vs. Peter would be an interesting scrap, I'd say that much. I am not so sure Taco Tubby will get past Tomasz Adamek.
No different. He fought a nobody, and got a TKO. He fights any top ranked fighters, he loses. Klitch's will crush him, sorry.
Im happy for Peter that he's found a new team and is working on something different, trying to base his game off of speed and not pure clobbering power. It's a step in the right direction, and honestly.. in this puss weak era with no depth, he'll find himself in the top, but not being able to compete with the likes of Wlad and Vitali.. but who are able to compete with those guys today? The depth at heavyweight is boring. In the '70s you had Foreman,Frazier,Ali,Norton,Shavers,Lyle,Young competing for the relevant championship, and guys like Chuvalo to act as gatekeepers. Hell, in the '90s you had guys like Lewis,Tyson,Holyfield,Bowe competing for it with other guys like Cooper, Moorer, Foreman keeping a good depth in the division. Today you have two or three at the top and the rest are kind of cruising under the radar without being able to create a real buzz. But hell, good on Peter.. if he's able to do something at heavyweight, im all for it.
Vitali would, Wlad I dont know. Wlad will always have a weak chin and has always showed himself to be fragile when the going got tough. We all remember how bad Wlad looked against Peter the first time. Falling all over the place, holding on to Peter for dear life. The only thing that won him that fight was his superior jab and Peter's lack of experience, him being only 25 years old when the fight took place. I feel both Wlad and Peter has improved since then. Peter/Wlad 2 might be just what the doctor ordered. Maybe even HBO will pick this one up, unless they completely given up on Wlad ever becoming an enertaining fighter again.
Wlad at an all time low confidence, being fouled by Peter and knocked down three times, two of which were fouling kd's. Wlad still beat him, and Wlad today is a completely different fighter, Peter on the other hand, lost the hunger and lost to both Vitali and Chambers along the way. Wladimir and Vitali both are too much for Peter, plain and simple.
Good performance by Peter, i was very suprised how accurately he was hitting Naggy before the stoppage. Hopefully he stays at this weight, because it will make him very competitive against the top contender's...
And Wlad was excessively clinching Peter, which is illegal. Everytime he would go to punch, Wlad would latch on to him like he was his girlfriend. Wlad looked very fragile in that fight because of Peter's power and the pressure he put on Wlad. Wlad was not at an all-time low. He had like 2 or 3 straight wins coming into that fight. And was 15 months removed from losing to Brewster. Vitali I agree is to tough for Peter, and has the mental toughness and chin to stand up to Peter. Wlad on the otherhand, has showed his weakness countless times. He can't take a punch without having a panic attack and melts under pressure, which gives Peter a much better chance of beating Wlad than he does Vitali.
