That whole sequence came from AJ being very dirty and he just pounced on Usyk and kept throwing but Usyk was OK and he was just riding it out. Then he came back to slap AJ silky and hurt him in the very next round.

Usyk will not let Fury lean on him in any steady way. I can't see that. He's way too smart for that.

Even an aging Usyk with less cardio.

I'm not saying Fury won't lean on him some. Sure he will. But not enough. Not like Wilder.

Agreed if you watch it back, whislt AJ got a couple of decent shots in, Usyk was weaving and rolling a lot of the shots, and AJ was emptying his gastank.

A evidenced by that stunning round 10 from Usyk

My notes for the round were:

"AJ hurt OU, then hit him cheap. OU ok but this sap him and energize AJ. Now we got a fight. Gotta finish strong. AJ will be tapped"

And AJ was tapped out after that.

But yeah, he got cheap. I can understand it though. He was desperate.

I knew he would go dirty at some point. Even though he had everything in his favour and his stacked deck he still needed to try and find ways to gain even more advantage

Absolutely. Very good round for Joshua but not the super dominant close to stopping Usyk round the comms were trying to suggest...

Usyk's toughness pulled him through round 9.

Badly hurt mean someone is going down, Usyk was not down even once, even though AJ was a lot bigger than Usyk. Like 10+ killos, has height and reach advantage which are big factors.

Go watch some of the Usyk early matches and educate yourself. He always cover himself like that, when the opponent has a moment and going full blown. Briedis fight is a good educational start for you.

Can admin pls ban him for flooding every single thread with Fury nonsenses ? It's about time, Fury is in his mouth in every single thread that has nothing to do with Fury. It's terrible feeling to scroll through posts and he flood every single thread with his garbage Fury nonsenses.

Here's one for you. I will retire in 7 days. I will only comeback when Fury & Usyk are making their ring walks.

    deal?

What you suggest is illegal in Boxing and any fare referee will call this fall, take a point and DQ the cheater Fury.
Also Usyk is always on the move, how exactly you going to lean on him ? He is also showing to the ref he is not happy with the clinch and trying to break out of it, so you can't hold and lean on him, cause that is foul. Get it to your head already.

I didn't think he was done but I was impressed AJ was able to do that so late in the fight, was impressed Usyk could withstand it, and was worried it was AJs last hurrah before sinking.

Props to AJ for being able to do it, Usyk for surviving, being able to come back, and for AJ to make it to the final bell.

Yeah I made a post at the time, Usyk was definitely hurt qnd uncomfortable, but AJ landed nearly nothing the entire time he was chasing him around and throwing trying to close the show, and I had a (in hindsight pretty accurate) feeling that AJ blew his load for nothing and was gonna get punished after

No, he'll lean on him until the ref calls break, not excessively, they don't warn if you don't hold excessively, Usyk's not gonna be able to keep from Fury holding him, if he's forced to move so much then he will tire, he looked gassed against Joshua in the 8th or 9th or whenever it was, that was from Joshua's pressure, Fury is much better at pressuring on the front foot, he makes himself less predictable, doesn't walk forward with his hands up throwing basic combinations walking in straight lines, he jabs, he feints, he's constantly moving his body and hands when he's on the front foot, you can't just tee off on Fury, he doesn't make himself as available as Joshua
Joshua vs Usyk was good big man against elite smaller man, Fury vs Usyk is elite big man vs elite smaller man
