The fight could happen ... Cotto can lose to Margarito ... Margarito isn't a marketable fighter and doesn't have a big name to casual fans ...

Pac can beat Hatton or Malignaggi ... and be on top of the world ...

I'm telling you guys right now ... Mayweather will come back if there's a bigger name in the game ... a guy that has taken the spotlight away from him. Yeah he's still being talked about now - but who's to say that it will be the same if Pacquiao were to fight and win against someone like Hatton.

You have to remember too ... Mayweather isn't a full fledged WW ... he can go down in weight ... his natural weight is probably 155.

if cotto loses against marg or oscar

pav vs floyd automatically is the most
financially & entertaining fight to the world...

even if cotto wins both those fights

pac vs floyd still might be better financially

    ESSSSPECCIALLY...

if pacman fights hatton and wins by either a quick and violent knock out

or the fight is a bloody slug fest and pacman edges hatton out

if you take a look at Pac's frame from when he first started till now ... he actually looks good at 135 ... he's still ripped ...

he has big legs ... in turn means he can carry the weight and handle it properly.

If PBF comes back he should fight winner of Cotto-Margarito before anything - else he can stay gone.

If PBF can make 140 - it could be made. But Pacman has plenty of other fighters to meet, that would excite me more

Don't hate just check my past posts and threads and you would find clarity --

And I still like Valero -- he's a special fighter ... not saying skill wise but his power ... like Pac, I think Valero's power can carry him a couple weight classes w/ ease. In sparring (yeah sparring w/ over sized gloves and head gear on, he was dropping light welterweights and he's a super featherweight)

    lol I do remember that..

I don't see Pacquiao vs Mayweather ever happening and neither will Pacquiao vs De La Hoya.. It's all about Ricky Hatton now..

Margarito isn't a marketable figure ... he can't even headline a world championship boxing card or a boxing after dark card.

He never sells out any venue and there is no reward w/ that risk.

No fighter stands to make a career high payday against him or do they stand to get much clout against a guy who has 5 L's on his resume. Win or lose ... no one wins against this cat.

Cotto is an exception to the rule because he's on the verge of super stardom ... and a tough guy like Margarito would be perfect to put on his resume.

Did I ask you before well before this fight happened about a possible fight between Pac and PBF? ... yes or no?

I think thats weak as hell for you to post this when I had discussed this with you before ... and you know about my PBF v Pacquiao thread weeks before the fight.

Floyd can't avoid Cotto, Margarito and Williams to fight Pac. It would prove that he is afraid of losing to one of them. Throw DLH back in there as well for the rematch was called off. For Floyd to purposefully move down to a catch weight to fight Manny, how would that appear to not only boxing fans but the other contenders in the welterweight division? Maybe if Pac beat Cotto or Margarito THEN you might have a fight, but otherwise hell no.

Williams only had 3 title fights and lost 1 of them ... Cotto has a tough fight against Margarito and a big payday waiting against DLH ... those are two tough fights ... and Cotto could very much so lose to Margarito.

I don't think that those guys are really marketable foes ... and can't make PBF the 25m he's now demanding for a fight.

I don't think its a matter of how tough the fight is for PBF ... the money has to be right - first and foremost.

Mayweather would be laughing stock if he came back to fight Pac. As someone else has said, the best Pac can hope for is a Hatton fight.
