:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl I told you that Gutless pice of **** ...Mundine would never fight Kessler again, and Nasser would be lying awake nights scheming a way out... Quote by Oztriker Re: Mikkel Kessler Named Mandatory Official Challenger For WBA Super Middleweight Title! It won't happen.....Not in the immediate future anyway. Nasser will be scheming behind the scenes to make certain this fight is delayed as long as possible. The cheating, lying **** will think of some way..... Watch this space :deal :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl I honestly can't believe any of you actually thought this fight would happen in the conceivable future.
Not all of us did mate....I kept saying that Mundine should avoid Kess......no shame in running from Kess anyway.....Mundine had the guts to fight him and did very well even though he lost by 4 or more rounds.
Point taken...except even when he fought him the first time, he had to be backed into a corner and was left with no other option.:good
Avoid Kessler like the plague....:yep But a bit hard to take from the ponce when he continually goes on about unifying and being the best pound for pound...and the Aussie Media lets him get away with it.atsch
He could have optioned to experience an epiphany. I know he had to fight him back then, but some boxers do relinquish their mandatory position, and I do believe that he did want to rematch him while he held belts. He allowed him to fight Beyer on the proviso that he would get a shot at the winner, and then he'd be fighting for 2 belts instead of 1, and was probably hoping Beyer could land a 1 in a million punch too. when Calzaghe came into the picture, he done the same, although Mundine was never able to enforce a cancellation of a fight of this magnitude. If he never intended of rematching Kessler I believe he would have changed paths and ventured down the IBF path. He also never would have campaigned for his fight with Green to be a WBA eliminator. In conclusion, I think that Mundine wanted to rematch Kessler while he was a champion, and 2 belt champion, but once he became beltless, his stocks fell in Mundine's book.
I disagree totally. He had the chance to fight Kessler for the WBA Title and relinquished his mandatory right for the far easier option. He knew he could delay his fight with Kessler for years and he would have the opportunity to fleece the Aussie public by fighting cab drivers. Also...The Calzaghe fight was not looking likely for Kessler immediately following and for months after the Andrade fight. Mundine had ample time to negotiate a fight with Kessler for Both Titles and didn't. Indeed ...it was a contractual obligation for Kessler to give Mundine the opportunity to fight for both Titles And now when it looked like Mundine was backed into a corner and had to fight Kessler.... He surprisingly decides to relinquish his Title to fight in a lower division. Pull the other one mate... It plays Jingle Bells.atsch Also..... If Mundine had gone down the IBF route...it may conceivably taken several years to be rated as a Mandatory...given the fact that those rated above him would have been none too keen to fight him.
Sorry mate.... I'm not sure to what 2 years you are referring. Only too happy to...if you just let me know. OZ:good
oz i've softened my hatred for mundine since meeting a few decent people who assure ME IRL he is a decent enought guy.what your saying is true.he knows he cant beat kessler so is t aking another path . i know he crapps on about being the man etc.but wont try and avenge a bad loss and that makes him a big mouth hypocrite bnut it really is a sensible move on his part.winky less dangerous fight for more U.S prestige.i
He has as much chance of fighting Winky as you have of scoring with Jessica Alba. Mundine is still a virtual unknown in the US and would have to have a few lead up fights for peanuts against reasonably worthy opposition. Outside the Boxing fraternity....Winky is unknown in Australia and Mundine couldn't come close to offering the money required to get Winky to fight him in Australia.:deal
we'll have to agree to disagree then. I do agree that he's ducking him now. But I do believe that he did intend to fight Kessler when he was champion. Otherwise he wouldn't have campaigned to have his fight with Green as a WBA eliminator, and he also wouldn't have continued along the WBA path straight after his loss to Kessler. I also disagree that it would have taken him years to gain a title shot through the IBF, or some other org.
