I truly thought Floyd wanted the fight. Here's some news anyway....

ah man u bought into the hype. drug testing is not gonna come in boxing. that was just an amazingly smart public relations plan put together by floyd, ellerbe and golden boy that pushed the burden to manny. floyd didnt want any drug testing before he saw manny beat down cotto. Never before, not even for the Marquez fight a mere 3 months prior.

IF drug testing did come in eventually, Manny still agreed to it, so i still cant see how any of this can come back to him.

Mayweather did say awhile ago that the cut-off date would be off the table the next time around. Of course, you could ask, why would that compromise be okay then and not now...it's still 14 days.

I won't make too much of this right now anyway. People saying it's Mayweather's way of not wanting the fight, others saying Pacquiao only accepted 14 days after Mayweather said it'd be off....it can just be both sides refusing to budge and wanting the upper hand in negotiations.

Another thing, what ever happened to all this stuff being kept in private? Arum was saying that at first, now he's yapping too much.

really?at MEPS? we never blood tested until boot camp and didn't do any sort of strength test.We duck walked ,had audiograms, and had a creepy old civilian doctor look at our butt, but that's it.

You can not disprove a psychological fear.If he thinks he'll be weakened because of having blood taken before the Morales fight (which Morales said he couldn't feel Manny's well known power during the fight),of course he'll believe it himself.I feel he should take the chance now that he's no longer cutting weight pretty much at all so that should eliminate any possible physical/psychosomatic response blood testing will have.

Please. Pac is the one that needs a PR machine. It is obvious he is on some sort of PED.

He is now back yapping knowing damned well that the USADA does not offer a cut off date.

Pac is a cheater and a fraud and will be facing Margarito. Cheats of a feather flock together.

Perhaps back then Floyd conceded to the fact that he and Pac were on the same level in terms of reputation. Now that he's surpassed Pac's last PPV revenue he may feel he has the upper hand at the negotiation table. Sure, it seems easy for him to just give in to the 14 day deal and we'd all be happy and can look forward to a fight. But at the same time I can understand Floyd's position. If I never wanted to offer a cutoff date the first time I feel that I should not compromise now that I'm the bigger cash cow.

I guess one can easily ask the question - why can't Pac just go through with the tests w/o a cutoff date? He lost a significant amount of blood (cut on his eye area if I'm not mistaken) in the first fight against Morales yet Pac was determined to fight even harder. Why can't he show that type of fortitude for the blood tests?

nah...there are articles where i think Nevada and new York were looking into improving drug test for boxing....the articles were on the forum a while ago...ill see what i can do.

also manny didnt agree to it..again....he keeps saying 14 days and a little bit of blood...he doesnt get to choose if he fully accepts the test from USADA....thats all Floyd wants.

man fukk it...both sides have points i can see Pac's view but i def understand floyds too so...i dont know...just hope the shyt happens.

It must be nice to find people guilty without evidence. Good thing people like you don't make the laws.

They agreed to additional testing, yes, but when it became clear it would be done by USADA and up until the day of the fight, they said "no". They didn't flat out agree to unconditional testing.

The relationship between GBP and USADA actually seems a bit suspicious to me. They've protected each other too many times and there was a strange insistance that USADA do the testing.

Actually pac team agreed to any kind of testing. Only when the terms of the testing was revealed is when they had a problem.

How can you agree to any kind of testing and then dictate how the testing will be done.

Why not? If you didn't get what you thought you were getting, why wouldn't you renegotiate?

How do you negotiate random testing? Even when mayweather offered pac 14 days to save the fight, i also thought he shouldn't have done that. And im not sure if USADA would have even done the test with a cut off date.

Ask yourself why mayweather offered a cut off date for the testing even when he wanted it up to the day of the fight.

This don't sound like a man who don't want to fight
