It's a good start for Khan. Think of it like him being sent to the minors and hes got to work his way back to the majors. All in due time.

i thought he looked worse, considering the opposition. at least the old khan would have probably koed this kid.

You're probably right and I thought that too watching it. But then he would have continued on the path that landed him where he is now.

everyone is talking about how his inside fighting has improved, so what, khan should never be fighting inside to begin with. what should be improving is his defence against the left hook which is still just as bad.

Not sure how this invalidates what I said, it only serves to amplify my point.

Regarding Lewis, Emanuel himself told me that even Lennox was a bit gun shy in their initial pairing together.

No what he should be working on next is not being so lazy with his offense... still way too open coming in. I didn't mind the inside stuff because he was showing pretty good defense inside. And you never know when a fighter is going to try to take you to the trenches. It's a good tool to have in your arsenal.

He got hit way too much by the type of counters that would KO him if the dude could punch, he better stay away from garcia if he wants his career to continue

:deal on more than one occasion he got caught as he always did.. Good job for Amir that his opponent hadn't the power to take advantage. However, I did see his legs stiffen on one occasion.

On this evidence if it were Garcia in there with him, he would have been sparked out once again:smoke

Thought Khan looked the same early on, in and out, flurries of punches etc.he only looked patient in the later rounds but that could be him pacing himself or general tiredness from 6 rounds of boxing. A few more fights/camps with Hunter will show what impact he's having.

I dunno what fight you guys saw. In the one I saw, Kahn was holding his right higher than usual, and he was stepping back after every flurry. - Both good defensive changes.

THe Kahn that fought tonight would probably have beaten Garcia.

    You guys are hilarious sometimes.

Slight improvement, more patient, not diving in and out as much with punches. will only get better working with hunter. ready for Garcia after another fight/camp.
