I used to think Manny would whoop Floyd... But then I thought......

    Manny has only been fighting guys that like to brawl and fighters that are boxer/punchers and not pure slick boxers such as Floyd. Although Manny has been looking great knocking out brawlers, we have not seen Manny against any top slick boxers with really good defense. But then again there aren't many, besides Floyd and Martinez that I could think of right now off the top of my head.

    So they can keep bringing the brawlers for Manny, although I do enjoy his fights, but until he doesn't fight a slick boxer I won't consider him as great as people do.


    Gentlemen...... DISCUSS!!!!!

    Of the 2 fighters you mentioned, one is on vacation and the other is a full blown MW, and you doubt a former FW?

    I mean, I would much rather see Manny fight Berto than another club fighter like Margo.

    Too many folks give credence to one particular style as being impossible to overcome... Which just isn't the case. There are A LOT of slick fighters who lose. Floyd is on anther level simply b/c he's not just slick...but ultra talented and highly skilled.

    That in itself makes Floyd above 99% of his peers. Manny is that 1% where Floyd is not operating above him. They are on par with one anther in terms of their ability, God given gifts and talent.

    Manny has faced A LOT of different styes throughout his career and has beaten most of them. Being great is something that you earn and something you prove. Manny has done that with or without having a slick fighter.

    The fighters he's beaten, dominated and retired have faced slick fighters whom they've beat and Floyd is a slick fighter whom Manny wants to challenge to see if he can win. But it's a two way street! Floyd has to want to take that risk himself for this to become reality.
