I used to think that Lara would give Canelo a fight.

Not anymore. Canelo has a lot of skill and he's faster than people think. Lara wouldn't do anything but run imo. I like Lara, but it popped into my head right away during the Angulo fight that Canelo would be trouble for Lara and not the other way around.

    This!

I would favor Lara. Speed, skill and has power. Angulo was there to be hit, made alvarez look like a superstar. he wouldn't do that to Lara.

No, he won't hit Lara that easy, but Lara won't hit Canelo that easy either.

This is rather typical in the sport when it comes to the fans. A fighter(Canelo in this case) loses a fight and he's completely useless forever. A few months and another fight later and he's back to being competent again.

That said, I'd rather see Alvarez move up to 160(since he clearly can't make 154 anymore) and fight the winner of Martinez/Cotto. That would be a far bigger and better fight for him on a 100% worthy PPV.

Lara moves very well which will give Canelo problems, but between the movement he stands in front of his opponent for too long and stays on the ropes for too long, it's why Angulo had so much success. Lara also showed against Angulo that he is open to the left hook. It's because of these reasons that I favour Canelo to win convincingly.

Alvarez said after the fight that he has no plans on moving up in weight, and that he came in overweight for this fight because he felt it was uneccesary to sweat off an extra lb with no title at stake. We'll see what happens.

Canelo beats Lara, in a hard fight, but i think he needs to move up to 160 and fight the winner of Cotto/Martinez like the fella' above said

Real boxing fans watch boxing and know that fighters have careers. Real fight fans don't discount fighters after one loss. That's the difference between real posters and impostors....

I think there is a good chance of this fight happening this year. I would definitely buy that PPV.

He'll have to move up before long. He's still growing, no way he can remain a 154lber in the long run imo.

I responded to what you said, not whether I would like that fight.

I think Canelo beats his ass as a matter of fact.
