I used to think that Lara would give Canelo a fight.

Angulo was a punching bag it's like saying Pacquiao is back to his best after beating Rios, we won't no were Canelo is really at until he fights Lara or a top guy at 160, Angulo while tough and brave was brought in to make Canelo look good and restart the hype, seems to have worked on many on ESB, styles make fights Lara fought the wrong style and made Angulo look good, Canelo's style was all wrong for Angulo and so he got battered, hate the logic of well Canelo beat Angulo easier than Lara so that means he beats Lara, styles make fights and in my mind Lara vs Canelo is a 50/50

I have no doubt that Lara would use his feet extensively, but I don't agree with you that ALL Lara would do is run.
lara always uses his feet and lots of movement. However, as he did with Angulo, he used that movement to get his opponents to walk into counters that he can deliver swiftly and accurately.

It seems this is a consistent trit of most all Cuban boxers.
    Rigo fights the same way.
Some say he ran from Donaire, but there is no doubt that Rigo connected and hurt Donaire with the same accurately thrown straight left, especially in the 11th & 12th rounds. These accurately delivered straight left hands from Rigo had Donaire starting to receive the same type of eye injury as Angulo did against Lara.

Lara has more power in that left hand then people give him credit for. His stoppage of Angulo was much more devastating then Canelo's. He delivered that straight left to Angulo's eye to break the orbital bone and cause massive swelling. In fact, it may very well be possible that the beating Angulo suffered from Lara may have greatly softened him up for Canelo.
After taking two serious beatings in a row, I seriously have doubts that Angulo can sustain much longer in the square circle.

Lara put a boxing lesson on Trout unlike Canelo who barely beat him. Also Lara made Angulo to guit !

I'd favor Lara to UD Canelo. Lara is a bigger & stronger version of Floyd IMO.

Common opponents between Lara and Canelo didn't make me create this post. It was a sstyles thing. I saw how fast Canelo is and how elusive he can be. He also has a fury that I don't think Lara can match if Canelo comes forward.

thats wrong, people take a sweeping look at what people think & assume fans are fickle based on changing opinions.... have you took a register of who thought he was over rated before and after?

I personally want to see him in with lara before I make any judgement - im still not 100% certain on his abilities against top class oppon4ents - hes still only beat 2 legitimate top 10 LMW's in my eyes, trout and now angulo - who to be fair, didnt show up

Great fighters have a knack for shutting other good to great fighters out. Winning is all that matters. Lara is not the pedestal for greatness at 154.

You were just so impressed by how Canelo easily handled the zombie version of angulo. It was such an epic performance :rasta
