Pacman was referred repeatedly in the post fight discussion, but the reality is that Floyd would be too fast to slick and the fight would be similar to last night.

Martinez brings a different type of challenge. He is bigger, but can still make 154 and it would be for the linear 160 title.

Come on Col....how can you have a linear title on the line when the imposed weight limit is 154?

Would be a great legacy fight for floyd, lineal WW, LM and MW would be impressive! but i can see it being an ugly clash of styles.

Agree that it's his toughest fight though, partly due to size...thought he looked a bit small last night. Would prefer to watch him v pacman or someone like khan otherwise.

    Think SRL v Donny Lalonde.

It could be made at 154 for the Ring Magazine belts and 154 & 160

Floyd & Martinez have the Diamond belts at both weights

I don't like to think about SRL and Lalonde...it was bull**** then and it would be bull**** now. If Mayweather wants the MW title let him fight a man at the weight Homicide Hank style :thumbsup

The WBC Diamond belt isn't even a weight class thing, so they'd both be named as a WBC Diamond champion .

I thought it relates to a weight class?

I don't think so, they just put it up for 'worthy' fights but then it never actually seems to be on the line (e.g does Dawson have Hopkins'?).

    Great fight style wise.

    Make it happen!

  11. If Floyd wants to fight Martinez he should do it at 160.

    Either that or don't bother.

Apart from the Pacman fight, I think it's just about the only really exciting fight out there at the moment for Mayweather.

I like Khan, but lets see how he does in his next fight first............

I don't think the Pac fight would even be that compettitve, I could see it pretty much playing out how last night went.

But Martinez on the other hand, that is a dangerous fight for Mayweather and I'd love to see it happen :bbb

Bad fight, either way no one gets any credit. At 160 a much bigger Martinez would knock Mayweather out. I though Mayweather could steal a UD but I don't think so now, I don't think Mayweather is uick enough at the higher weight and Martinez would be able to impose his strength and power on him grinding him down and Knocking him out.

At 154 martinez would be a zombie, i know he claims he can make the weight ok but he is after a big payday, he has looked like a big middleweight in his last three fights and I think dropping a weight would kill him.

I agree that the fight would have to be at 160 to get the best Martinez.

Yes it would be a high risk fight, but if Mayweather really wants to be remembered alongside the greats he should take these risks, what an achievement it would be if he won.

Just think how Roy Jones would have been remembered if he'd retired after Ruiz :bbb
