http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=118927 http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=118636 I also was right about ODLH/PAC and B-hop/Pavlik. Not too bad right? Only this time I didn't call the ending perfect by saying SD instead of TKO for Shane. I had Pac by TKO9 v ODLH and B-hop by UD v Pavlik.
That's right. You were right on too Rummy.:good Did you get Pac/ODLH and B-hop/Pavlik correct as well? Not bragging but I nailed em with detailed analysis. The only one I screwed last year was Margarito/Cotto and it was going according to my breakdown until the 10th. Maybe Margo used those hand wraps though so that can't make my record tarnished? IMO:think
Nope. I was wrong on Hopkins-Pavlik, but I was most pleasantly surprised by the outcome. Big time Hopkins fan here, and I was rooting for him. I just never foresaw that one. And I was so far off on Pac-DLH that it's laughable. But I was right about this one, even if I figured it would be more difficult than it was. Shane is awesome! :good
See this one reminded me of Hopkins/Pavlik and I got the same feeling before this fight as I did before that one. I thought it would be a little harder than this too.
I wouldn't have any thing to brag about if I just stated so and so will beat this fighter but I had loads of details as to why each of the 3 fights would happen as they did.
There's a huge difference between a "SD" and a TKO. A SD prediction indicates not only were you not confident of a Mosely win, but that he would be battered for about half the fight. A TKO prediction generally indicates Shane would be in command the whole time, getting in alot more of his power punches and barely getting hit, wearing down Margarito to set up the TKO. You obviously didn't envision that type of fight with a SD prediction, so why should you get "deserved credit"?
I thought it would probably be an easy UD but made an official pick of SD because if the rounds were somewhat competitive I thought one judge would favor work rate over Shane's more effective punching. You probably got all three wrong and the only thing I missed besides more correct points than you can imagine was the SD instead of TKO but then again, I didn't expect the hand-wrap thing which would have made it more competitive because Margarito looked beaten when he got in the ring. Shane still would have kicked his ass tonight!
Hey you went against the grain. Credit to you. The ways things were talked up here it sounded like Shane was a nobody who would be destroyed.
