Yeah its true because i think all the others would at least temporarily try to box in some shape or form but i think rios legitimately would see the fight as an opportunity to have a war. i think the others would realise that they could potentially make things easier for themselves by not engaging in a slugfest but i think rios would see that almost as a cop out. more than most he seems to enjoy the idea of that type of fight.
fight would be great too bad both promotions top rank/golden boy have alot of there own fighters. an i think i kno wut goldens plan might, paulie/judah is at 147 so if paulie wins hes gonna fight danny garcia and if judah wins hes gonna fight adrien broner who knows wut provo is gonna do. i have a feeling pac/rios winner. if fighting timmy provo/j vargas could happen and also there is mayfield if he stays at 140... i think provo is deff gonna move up. sense he looked good vs timmy at 147 and i top rank u got 2 top cash cows in bradley and pacman ... so im sure provo wants to get back in there with timmy and would love the opportunity to fight pac actually right now they should try n get provo/timmy rematch as soon as possible... but i dont think timmy will do that. timmy did get his kicked in the process of a good win that he earned but he took a beaten doing it.
I like the idea of a fight between Broner and Ruslan.......it would be a very interesting contrast in styles.
Scrambling for a moment and you apply that for the whole fight? Broner struggling against that output and decent power from a featherweight, dunno what he would do against a monster like Provo.
Provo is not actually contracted to Top Rank like Cotto isn't- they just have working relationships. It's irrelevant anyway though because Broner would go nowhere near Provodnikov.
Ruslan is tied to Top Rank for one more fight. TR held a one fight option if Ruslan won against Mike.
Maidana is not a poor man's Ruslan, and I would wager that Maidana would knock his ass out. Maidana is coming off two stoppages and they were just as good as or better than Ruslan's.
Why would he wanna move up when he can unify & build his status/legacy. If I where Top Rank I'd keep Provodnikov exactly where he is, unify against Alakhverdiev & then look to see if he can pick up a few more notable scalps.. Marquez, Mayfield, Soto, Lundy, Olusegun, Cano etc. before moving up to 147. As for Alvarado move him up to 147, he can always fight Rios again or should Brook beat Alexander they can go after that fight.
