No dude, I mean it as in I'm tired of may and PAC being the center of the sport. They aren't good for boxing anymore. The new guys are here but I want them to be THE GUYS.

No that's not it. May and PAC won't let anyone rise to the occasion. They're both playing it extremely safe right now.

Bradley was the best out of the lot he tried his best but could not come close to beating pac

same goes for canelo he could no do anything its not so much mayweather or pac its because no one can rise to the occasion like how pac or mayweather did when they were coming up

This thread is great, it's nice to see it on BN24 too as its usually full of *****-******* stuff. I agree with the posts here.
Mayweather is very bad for the sport. Bob and Pacquiao's business relationship is very bad for the sport. They're both abusing what it means to be the top earner in the sport of boxing no matter how you try and cut the cake.

We know how this is going to play out anyway and we have to accept this:

    1. Mayweather will collect the guarenteed $64m from his last two fights with Showtime.

    2. Then when he's a free agent after 49-0, he's going to earn far more than he would have made contracted to Showtime for the Manny Pacquiao fight.

    3. Pacquiao is already past prime and by the time this fight happens, Pacquiao would be pretty easy to beat. Mayweather will collect the glory for winning as he will age slower than Pacquiao. Pacquiao has an offensive style who used to cut weight a lot and fight far more frequently and has been knocked out brutally by Marquez - of course it's going to take a bigger toll on him than Mayweather. It's not even arguable.

I really hope they leave. Outside of bringing $$ in, they've both been bad for the sport. Floyd sounds so stupid when he says "Pacquiao lookin for a check" I mean wtf is that?

When you sit back and think about it, that's some dumb **** to say. Of course he's looking for a check, he's a prize fighter. The same reason why you fought Maidana again, instead of Thurman or Andrade, because you were looking for a check.

This **** has been going on for 5 years. All this back n forth ****. The only people that lost were the fans. We've filled their pockets by keeping up this "***** VS *******" fanware going, and in the end we've made three brats richer and we still didn't get the fight we wanted.

I salute JMM and Cotto like I said.

The good news is fmj and PAC retire, or their gonna get ran out the sport by some young guns, I hope it's the latter they deserve it.

Can't believe i defended FMJ so much, never again though :bart

They took those fights because they had to. Floyd wasnt turning down that $$ from Canelo,, and PAC had a Loss against Tim (not really, but officially).

There was no one left to fight.

Since then, they've both played it safe. and will continue to

Plus they interrupt the balance of the sport in general. You got guys that aren't fighting each other, because they are scared to lose and "miss out" on Mayweather. Khan not fighting Thurman and ****. They are at the pinnacle, and are disrupting the balance of the lower level guys.

I hope either Kell Brook or Thurman become the next great WW. Both guys seem to do it for the love of the fight game.

Most of them start off like that. We need one who stays like that after he reaches the pinnacle.

10/10. ATG post. Agreed on everything. We just gotta deal with this **** for about 2 or 3 more years before we can finally move to something else, because of course the new era won't begin the day both of them retire. At least we got some very interesting up and coming guys, and they aren't in the WW division for a change. The future looks good. :bbb

PBF and Pac are running out of options they need to fight or shut the hell up. I'm waiting for the next generation to step up you have Loma who looks great, Crawford looks promising but who else? GGG is over 30 and only has about 3 good years left. Some of these younger talents need to really establish themselves and start beating some of the old guard.
