I want to give Bud Crawford credit

This fight is better on every rewatch. Good stuff by both men.

 

Don't care not Errol Spence who is still the best fighter in the division.

 

Yes it was a very good performance from both men but the clear impression I had was that both men were past there best. It was strange how Porter was getting the best of the exchanges until the last quarter. That performance from Bud will not be good enough to beat Spence. I feel Erroll Spence beat best version of Porter and Porter was highly motivated as well. For the Crawford fight Porter was already looking forward to retirement.

I don't know, man. It's hard to assess this win when Shawn Porter knew he was retiring going into the fight. I mean, Porter was 34, not 38. Says a lot about mindset and motivation.

 

Yes, Porter was fully prepared, and Crawford was ready. It was a great fight

 

Porter is difficult to look good against. Even Spence didn't look good against him. I feel Crawford beats any version of Spence.

 

Porter has retired.. Crawford fights duds.

 

Not only is Spence going to beat Crawford he is going to stop him and be number 1 pound for pound.

 

It was a good win, and Crawford is a quality fighter. I like that he has fought at the lower weights as it shows he is not big at the weight.

Spence has the best body of work at WW.

I am actually team neither until these guys settle it in the ring. I like the fact Crawford has been calling him out and definitely lean towards TC should they fight. But no excuses why they don’t fight next.

 

Porter had Spence hurt in their fight and Spence takes longer than bud to get going despite Bud being known as the slow starter. Spence has too many holes in his defense to not get punished by Bud.

 

I believe in ten years' time, this welterweight division will be looked upon much more fondly. The Porters and Garcias and Thurmans...then as it follows the Spences and the Crawfords. It's been a pretty good crop, even if so much has gotten in the way of big matches. These guys can fight, and they are dogs, in a good way.
