I've got Katy Perry "teenage dream" in my ****ing head, how do you think I feel?

 

yeah that stupid song really really sticks in the head. Some mornings I wake up and that song is there in my head. Why? Couldn't it be something classy and epic like J.S. Bach's Toccota and Fugue? Nope.

No doubt something evil lurking in the sound stew, audio MSG.

 

That song is hypnotic in like a really ****ing bad way.

 

I was in a record store last week (yeah, they still exist) and every single employee and customer - including me - had their head bobbing to this in synchronized meter. It was horrible.

 

Funny I just started a thread in a lounge about muic being back. Im telling you guys, right now theres a ton of good dance alternative hip hop pop songs out there i think since the mid 90s. That song from Bruno Mars just the way you are is addicting

 

Don't worry, there are others out there like you. Be strong. That ***** sucks ass but her songs, which she doesn't write herself, can be irritably catchy. It will pass. You will recover with time.

 

As somebody who has been heavily sickened and thoroughly disgusted by music and its progression over the past 20 years or so, I must admit, I think you are right. Hip Hop seems to be finally fading away from that voice box ****, and has been much more melodic lately. Though they seriously lack harmonies still, the songwriting has definitely improved. It has been a pleasant surprise.
