Kessler was an extremely strong test and at times i thought he was gonna KO Joe, why does Joe insist on keeping his hands low, he could of won more comfortably, he show-boats too much, kessler was no Bika and Joe must realise that!

I should be happy but maybe im downplaying it but Joe should have boxed better, after a few rounds i thought Kessler was gonna steam roll him, Kessler is such a warrior and Joe gets too arrogant at times!

Im glad he won but he made it difficult for himself ?

Am i being too Critical ??

    P.S

ive kept quiet cos i was fed up of people saying that *** was gonna ko/tko***, Kessler was much more likely to KO joe and thats from a Calzaghe fan!

Am i being too harsh ?

Just out of curiosity, in an early round Kessler went down it was ruled a slip. I saw it as a slip but missed the replay between rounds.

I read an article where it says he went down from a bodyshot but it was wrongly ruled a slip.

    was it?

    It was clearly a slip.

    1. It gets your opponent to punch, giving you an option to counter.
    2. It makes head movement easier.
    3. It gives your arms an oppurtunity to rest.

calzaghe is at his free flowing best when he has his hands low, i prefer to see him fight that way.

Joe is great with his hands low, that isn't his problem. When his hands were low he was moving his head beautifully.

Mikkel made him pay for leaning in.

Joes problem is when things go good for him he gets ballsy. Kessler is a world class operator and kept reminding him to stay in check. To Joes credit he did and won the bout.
