I wanted Thurman to KO him, actually. But now that that 0 is gone, I feel for Danny. Danny's got a great personality.

This was a long time coming and honestly im not enjoying it as much as i thought i would at first.
Maybe its because One-Time didnt dominate and humble Danny the way i was hoping he would.
Maybe if DSG suffered at least 1 knockdown i would be alot more satisfied.
DSG still believes he won the fight and that right there ruins it for me.

I'm very disappointed Thurman didn't KO García.

I used to be a García fan, but he took one too many easy fights and to top it off was given a blatant gift against Herrera.

I don't dislike García, and I hope he stays focused and continues being a force, but I'm very happy Thurman won and wasn't robbed.

I think Angel made me want to see Danny fail.

What made it worse was when he thought he won, and then was like.....ah right, Keith won instead. Dammit yousunuvabtch.

His career isn't over he didn't get K.O'd or brutalized, but you should feel bad for a guy like herrera who kicked his ass but didn't get the decision. Never made any real money in boxing.

I was leaning towards Thurman and I scored it narrowly for Danny.

I'm fine with the SD though.

I was hoping One Time put on a boxing clinic and make DSG look like a complete amateur leading to a KO or a Knockdown.
But it was nothing like that .

I had it 7-5 Thurman on my scorecard.

Thats Too close for my liking.

Thurman won clearly, even by not engaging in the last 2 rounds. A split decision was a travesty. A judge like that should be suspended.

7-5 was my score too. Would like to see a rematch. What's funny is Thurman said let's see how he handles it when we go man-to-man (trading punches). I think Thurman learned early, Danny was no pushover. Thurmans adjustments won that fight. Had Thurman continued to trade with Danny I felt Danny was going to land another miracle.

Would favor Thurman to win again but it was good enough to warrant a rematch.

Didn't Thurman say that it could have been a draw due to his taking off some rounds?

    BTW
Those were Thurman's words not mine.

Had he insisted on PPV on this fight he would have made plenty of money since the fan interest in the outcome was very high.

Was that a Mexican American or Mexican judge whom it depended on at the end?
There is a lot of animosity between those two ethnic groups.

I watched from a delay link somebody posted without the post fight interview, so I am not aware of that.
I have thurman ahead 7-3 after the tenth. I also think that he nicked round 12.
The telecast showed in between one of the late rounds that the trainer told thurman to take off the gas and be smart, Thurman complied but I don't particularly like these kind of advise. Unless you are a defensive master like Floyd or Whitaker, a drastic change of strategy while it was working fine could be proved to be costly.

I was a bit surprised to hear him say that since he had clearly outpointed Garcia. On the other hand judges can be weird that way sometimes if a fighter shows too much retreating. So maybe he was taking that weirdness into consideration when he made that statement. Actually, I agree that the advice was wrong. He wasn't getting caught clean. He was winning the exchanges. So why tell him to start giving away rounds?
