I wanted to quit on home soil "JOE CALZAGHE insists he would have loved to bow out of boxing in Cardiff. I wouldn't say sad, but yea it will be a shame to see him go from the British boxing scene. He has brought a few interesting match ups of late - from Lacy onwards. I very much enjoyed the Kessler fight, and the Hopkins one too (I think I'm one a few though). The Calzaghe pre Lacy - WBO fest - wouldn't be sad to see that go.
Even the Woodhall, Brewer, Mitchell fights were pretty good. There was a lot of crap in there as well though.
Yeah as with a lot of boxers. Really with promoters they have to make a career and living so we dont always get what we want as fight fans.
Bhops was happy fighting at MW and when Taylor whooped his ass he leap-frogged SMW to jump up to LHW. IT was only when JC pissed all over Lacy that the americans began to take any notice.
